Not many people know, but I one day hope to become an Imagineer. I am currently enrolled in college to pursue my dream, but I'm not a patient person. So to keep my brain going for the years to come I have decided to build a series of Disney parks in RCT2. This first one, The Disneyland Resort , has no location and is my ultimate version of a Disneyland park.
Unfortunately, due to the structures larger size when compared to RCT2 peeps, the parks shall not be peep friendly. The larger size is due to the amount of detail required.
A quick summary of the resort: The Disneyland Resort is located on Lake Disney, a lake in the shape of Mickey Mouse's head. Situated between the ears and at the top of Mickey's head is the Disneyland Hotel. The Disneyland Hotel is a near carbon copy of the one located at the Disneyland Resort Paris.
Behind the Disneyland Hotel lies Disneyland Park. The park consists of seven lands (two original) and follows the traditional Disneyland Hub layout.
The seven lands are:
1) Main Street, U.S.A.
2) Adventureland
3) Frontierland
4) Fantasyland
5) Shadowlands
6) Tomorrowland
At the center of the park is Sleeping Beauty Castle. The castle was chosen in dedication to Walt Disney and his first classic film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. It's style is a combination of Sleeping Beauty Castle's intimancy and Cinderella Castle's elegant simplicity. Disneyland will feature many new attractions along with the return of Disney classics. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in The Shadowlands and the Jungle River Expedition in Adventureland are two examples of new attractions.
Much more has been completed than I'm willing to show. The following link contains screens taken in February of this year. Enough babbling, though, here is the link. -

Loving this park, dude.
I'm glad you're finally showing Main Street, looks awesome.
I don't like the huge trees though, they look very un-rct-ish.
The hotel is amazingly beautiful. Keep it up. -

I like it. But I don't.
Your buildings looks nice, but the scale is competely weird.
Compare the bench and person size to the buildings. -

Whats amazing about this is unlike most people who start Disney parks, you've actually captured the Disney feel & atmosphere, and very well too. Appears to be well-planned, which is also crucial in Disney parks. That entrance plaza / hotel screen is absolutely incredible. There are some objects in there I would love to have, especially those 1/4 glass roofs....nice job Mad Dawg, looks like an amazing park and I would love to see more....btw, whats the park size?? -

Thanks for the kind comments.
The park is 256 by 256 and I am going to need all the room I can to get this just the way I want it. JKay, If you tell me what objects you want, I will try to find them, but no promises considering my ObjData folder is at it's limit.
Yeah, the park is well planned. During my "hiatus", I took time to fill a notebook with notes, sketches, maps, etc. The only thing not nailed down are the final building designs. I kind of build as I go.I like it. But I don't.

Look to the second paragraph of my first post. I realize they are out of whack when compared to the RCT2 peeps, but personally I don't care. I need them that big to get the detail just right. -

Same here. I want to work in there ride department. Not many people know, but I one day hope to become an Imagineer. I am currently enrolled in school to pursue my dream, but I'm not a patient person.
I am gonna start working on things I need to(school wise) to have a chance at becoming an Imagineer when I become a Junior in High School cause I'll be able to get classes that will help me pursue that dream. Till then I'll keep building Disneyparks in Rct 2, researching Disney things and such, definetly working on my Math and Science, etc..
All I can say to you and me is, Good Luck and I hope you succede with your dream.
As for the park: Looking really good, I like the realism it has! As for the big trees, I think they work out for realism cause Disneyland does have big trees like that on Mainstreet. See,(for the people who don't like the trees.)
Good luck with your dream and keep doing a good job on this park. -

Hey.....nice looking park. Someone is doing Disney justice in RCT2 besides Corky. It's very "real"..
OK excuse me.....I have to go watch the West Coast fall into the ocean now. -

Feeling the same way. Ok, Im totally over the fact that everything is unproportional. I can stand it because of the realism of the buildings, very nice. The only major problem I have with this park is the weak landscaping and paths. Im sorry, but compared to the awesome buildings the landscaping and paving look ugly. Not that your actual selections of paving look bad, it's just the way that you executed it that doesnt look right. Basically, landscaping and paving need more detail. Oh yeah almost forgot, that canopy looking thing in screen 5 looks horrible with those week poles you might want to change that.I like it. But I don't.

The Disneyland Hotel Preview Center
May 10th, 2004
Construction has now been completed on The Disneyland Hotel. The lavish Victorian hotel stands at the entrance to Disneyland Park and features 2,000 guest suites and three world class restaurants. But what really makes this hotel magical is for guests staying here, the last thing they see at night and the first thing they see in the morning is Main Street, U.S.A. and Snow White Castle.
In the coming months, The Disneyland Hotel will become a preview center for the growing Disneyland Park behind it. The hotel will offer a sneak peak of what is coming next and what didn't make the final cut for the park. So without further ado, I present the completed Disneyland Hotel.
Look for major updates on Main Street, U.S.A. in the coming weeks. -

Your link doesn't work. Something about a fatal error. Eisner must be in charge of your hotel. -
Highball Offline
(How could you know I hired Eisner as hotel manager. )
Yeah, I noticed that, too. I'll email Worlds of Disney and see what the problem is. Sorry about the inconvienence guys.
EDIT: The galleries are working again. WoD was adding some new features. Now my albums can be displayed in Hebrew...
