    There's a No-CD Crack for RCT 2. You mustn't buy a new version

Thats nice n' dandy, but he needs the disc to re-install the game.

Kevin, plz do what you have to finish this. I think I'll cry if you abandon this park. :'(

Tis a sad day when PoD is abandoned, tears fall from the sky and sea... Why must such an awaful end be?

Okay enough of my pretending that I'm a poet. Basically I find it very sad that it won't be finished, at least not by you... Maybe you could call favors on some of the best rct players in the community (DJ, X-Sector, Titan, John, etc) to finish it. Or you could just let somebody get you a copy of rct2...

On the bright side of things if you release it now we get to see at least some of it sooner. :) Do whatever you must since my ideas probably have very little influence on what you're going to do.

Maybe I'm just stupid, but couldn't you just send it to someone, buy a new game, then get it back? Seems simple to me...

Have you tried the whole toothpaste trick? I've been told it really minimizes the problems a CD-ROM/player gets when trying to play a scratched CD. Now, you might want to test the theory on an old, not-a-care-in-the-world-if-the-CD-is-ruined CD first to make sure you don't ruin the RCT2 CD more.

Anyways, if you haven't heard about the process, all you do is rub some toothpaste (preferably plain) into the scratches, and with a soft cloth, wipe the excess away. I haven't done this myself, but I've had friends who've done it and it seems to work for them.

NOTE: It only (supposedly) reduces skipping/reading problems and doesn't actually remove the scratches. :D

Good luck getting back on track...if at all possible. Hope this suggestion may work!

EDIT: Whoa...100th post is an attempt to come to someone's aid. Maybe it's a sign! :huey:

    Hey guys.

Just letting you know that I now have RCT2 installed again and everything is working. I tried to install again just for the hell of it, and it worked. Don't know how it happened... pretty lucky I guess.

I'm happy to say that PoD is now back in progress and will be done.

    Hooray?

Yeah well you still need to send me a copy for my kind offer :p

Send it to: DRC2828@aol.com ..I mean the other copy I have is like a year old now. ;)
  • marinersfan59%s's Photo
Congrats on getting it to work. If it you ever have the problem where you can't get it to work no matter what you try, do the toothpaste method that coasterfrk mentioned, I can personally vouch for the fact that it works wonders.

Looking forward to the rest of the park, good luck.

    lmao @ Corkscrewed's comment.

Good for you Kumba, and what I called you is still true in a sarcastic sort of way, just as it was from the beginning. I'll admit that I would like to see the park too, but I would like to see it finished a lot more.

    My Review of PoD

I started off in the "Fozzy like area" of the park. Really outstanding work all around tho is still is not exactly 100% finished. The archy and plantwork is all amazing with a great layout. My fav part had to be the B&M vertical coaster, it was very realistic and looked great.

Next off I looked over the Atlantis area, it had some really awsome work in the finished spots like the domes and water running all around, tho I was not that fond of some of the white archy and fence trim. The star ride here is clearly the water coaster with its massive and pretty solid layout. Good luck rapping up this area.

My fav area had to be "Lost Paradise" (the one with SA's walls and the pink flowers) I love how you did the overgrown look on the buildings and used the wooden scenery. Also your wooden coaster is pretty good, its nice to see a solid wooden coaster in a park and this park gives one. This mite be one of my all time top 3 fav themes when done, I just love what you have done here.

The Castle/Village area was the next one I viewed. The first thing I saw here was the bright red suspended coaster, but I was not to wild about it, the layout had its ups and downs but a few parts seemed odd to me. The castle archy is damn good, but I have never liked the new rooves you used that Toon did on his R1 qftb-x entry, but you still managed to used them pretty well and make some great stuff. Tho the village only had 1 and a half buildings I really liked what I saw, very village like imo and it looked great so great job there.

Lastly is an area I don't think you have posted any screens of, so in case its a secret or suprise I will not say anything about it for now.

Overall you sure do have one hell off a park in the making. I think you need to stick to one or two things at a time tho. You clearly are going from one area to the next and leaving a load of gaps and holes in the building. Good luck finishing by your set date, and thank you for sharing the park with me.

Overall rateing atm: 8.9 due to big unfinished gaps/ disorder and a few parts on the coasters that imo were odd.

He seemed to just dissapear. His park was as good, if not better than Kevin's park.

I think he was hinting at the spelling error. But it's Kumba, so don't worry about it...

Ahh... Well thats there for people who don't know him I guess. Although, how many people here would that be?

    Thanks for the review Kumba.

Yeah, I tend to jump around the park alot, doing other stuff. I'm gonna start to focus one one area at a time and finish them.

Yes, the area that you thought is secret, is in fact secret. If I can pull it off correctly, it will be the most amazing area in the park (even if it deosn't look that great ATM), and should shock a lot of people.

The way I'm doing the atlantis theme is very hard. It's like reinventing a theme and adding in new elements and ideas. You may be unsure of it now, but when its done you'll think differently, hopefully.

    ;)
