I see you've toned down the on the wood, which is good. However, it still looks a little generic, just with black instead of the classic medievil brown. Go crazy with the architecture and make it more fantasy and *out of this world*

I like it much better now, more mordory...i agree though about the crazyness...maybe more 1/4 tile stuff?
  • deanosrs%s's Photo
Much better, this looks very nice. The screen is very reminiscent of mordor. Keep it up, I guess.

    UPDATE:

    Well......
progress has been going quiet well,
but instead of showing another screen of Mordor or Rivendell i thought i would show something different.
Seeing as i will be only showing a couple of the areas this maybe the final screen of a new area.

Anyway the screen is only small but it is of the start to Minas Tirith,
the top right hand corner is a little unfinished for some reason i dont know what to have there? any ideas?.

There will be more screens of Mina Tirith and Mordor to come.
    but enjoy the screen.

It's nice. Yea,I like it. Doesn't seem like Minas Tirith though.

Minas Tirith is "the white city"... unless you're going for the pre-war version, in which it had fallen slightly into a worser state under Denethor... still needs to be more white though imo, I'd chuck in some marble. It does look natural and sort of carved out of the rock though, which is good. It's quite a distinctive city, so I guess only a zoomed out view (not that you should post one) would be the true test of it.

Btw... sorry I wasn't online earlier... my minas tirith is somewhere towards the end of the old pro tour thread, I don't have it on my comp any more.

Erm its alright, but it should be white instead of grey.

It will look great then, trust me.
  • gymkid dude%s's Photo
yup, agree with everyone else about the whiteness.

Get rid of the roman columns, or find a better way of using them. Not such a big lotr fan i'd care about the white.

BOIL EM'! MASH EM'! STICK EM' IN A STEW!!

Great work, man. This is my favorite book/movie themed park ever. I can't wate to see the Shire.

It's good on a parkmaking level, but not on a lotr level.

As everyone said, it needs to be white. Secondly, the path. Make them thin and covered by buildings making them hard to see in places. Remember when gandalf rides through the city on his horse in the narrow streets inbetween white buildings. Make it like that!

    update:
    FANGORN FOREST:

Treebeard:" The filth of Saurman will be destroyed......
He has burnt and chopped down many of my firends, old oak, beech chessnut all have been taken away!!.....
Something is going to happen that hasnt happend for an age. The ents are going to war".

The Ents have left their stationnery postions and are heading towards Isenguard.
Leaving desruction of the trees that cannont move and talk the Ents storm through their home of Fangorn forest....
A few of the fleeing Uruk-hai from Helms deep are making a stand in the forest, using their axes, torches and seige equipment to bring down the Ents, But the Ents seem to be putting up a good strong fight......

    Off story note:
I found making this Ent quite hard but considering i dont think it is too bad for my first Ent.
    Anyway what do you think?
    :et:

    Erm.

Its ok, but its nothing really i mean a few coaster pieces, bushes and trees lol. It does'nt really remind me of a forest either. A forest is meant to be think with trees, this is like a load of bushes with coaster track sticking out.

I suggest making alot of thick trees with bigger Ents sticking out the top of the forest, making them visable. Using small bushes like that does'nt get a forest feel across.

Anyways ok start just listen to a few of the things i said.

Oh and your border is way out of place :D
  • X250%s's Photo
It is a nice idea, but i feel it is not executed that well... The tree is too low to the floor and is not bushy enough. I would keep it though, it could be a baby Ent. :!!: Definitly make the other ents taller and more grand to give a dense forest effect. Park looks smashing though, cant wait for the release.
