I don't understand how anyone could say this isnt one of the most lyrically gifted rappers of all time.
Most people havent heard most of the stuff I just posted, so try and be unbiased, read the lyrics objectively, and tell me that you're not impressed. I know some of his radio songs are REALLY gay and poppy, but realistically, on every album he only has one really gay pop song and thats to sell records. The rest of his songs display great lyrics and concepts. Nothing wrong with one pop song....

This is the whole reason i like eminem His lyrics are genious, and even though he talks a bout killing and shit, its more interesting than singing about damn love songs. The thing with eminem is that you either love him or you you hate him. Its like marmite

The "gay/poppy" songs are usually fairly brilliant as well - it seems when Em does one of those, he shoves a tampon up someones ass, plonks them in the bath and photographs it.
Certainly i can see objection to his lyrics, some of them are very blunt, but they tell it like it is, and generally i think they're more "socially positive" then most of todays other music. Teaching little girls to break peoples hearts isn't good, telling people this world is a fucked up piece of shit is.
And yes; Stan is great. Especially as they brought Dido in, that made it A. ) softer. And B. )The message in his lyrics much harsher.

As for those "GLAAD" idiots, they need to learn to see where the message comes from. I'm bisexual, and i have no problem with him telling them where to put it. He doesn't hate guys, i know that; Elton John knows it - it seems everyone but them know it...

I don't like Eminem. If he's that good a lyricist then he should just write poetry. There are just as impressive lyrics in other music where there are actually good tunes to go with it.

Stan is his only song I've ever warmed to. You really get the emotion because there's actually contrast in the song with Dido's parts, rather than pure anger. And as far as I'm concerned, although you'll all go "waaa waaa" at this, he sounds like a little screaming brat in a lot of his lyrics.

Oh yeh, one more thing that pisses me off unbelievably, how he flings his hands around as he raps. I don't know why, it's just so annoying...

I don't like rap music anyway. I listen to music generally to be happy, not to listen to how someone hates his mother (and he has written about 10 songs on that subject).

BTW, with Stan, Eminem and his producers made Dido.

I don't like rap but I like Eminem, there is something about him which makes him different. He is more of an agressive rapper as well which makes his music good to listen to.

The reason a lot of people hate Em is because of the things he says BUT if you have ever watched an interview with him he has actully said that he doesn't mean most of those things but people still go and attack him.(then he attacks back, pure genius move right there. )

With me I push all that crap aside and just listen to his lyrics cause most of his raps are genius. I think his best verse IMO is from Love Me with Obie Trice, Eminem, and 50 cent(he should have stayed out of that song cause he just didn't sound right in it imo.).

I can see what you mean, but i dont see it bad. Its different. 2puc, ludacris etc all sound the pretty similar, i cant always tell the difference when i hear them. If something of eminem comes on i immediatley know its him.
