Ok. Since my computer is jacked up and I still can't open my Def Jam Orlando park, I started a new park. The new park is named Spanish Maholes. I have been working hard on it and I know that it isn't the best and would like helpful critiscism on it.
The park is a 75x75 park and it is Spanish themed.
This is the coaster. It is named San Felipe Express.
This is the area right across from the coaster. It is a lake. Tell me if it is to big. That is also the hill to make the landscape have some variation.
I am trying to make the buildings not look so blocky so if anyone has some comments on how to do that it would help. Thanks. -

All i can say it lacks ATD (Attention to Detail) or in other words: more detail and special things needed. -

Well..um..like tyandor said, this park does suffer from n00b syndrome.....the best things I can say are: 1. that coaster layout is good, it just lacks theming and secondly you show ability to vary the landheights. I would suggest looking at some of the spotlight parks, maybe d/l one you like and analyze it. Think how you could turn that wooden coaster you built a Spanish adventure ride or something. Just keep building, but add more detail with each building you build and dont worry about completing the park, just focus on narrowing you building skills......show us somemore screens as you go....I've seen worse.....so good luck! and dont give up! -

Thank you I am always in the process of changing the landscape.
What could I do to make the themeing different on the coaster? -

it's quite n00bish and you've used those roofs all the time, the buildings are quite boring too. I suggest adding some balconies in, putting ornaments on them, making more ajoining buildings, arches, stuff like that. also, try to avoid doing rooves in the same style like that, instead of using corner pieces, uses the 45 degree slant ones to meet each other in the middle.
EDIT: another thing that's sprung to mind, you need to consider your tree selection more. When i put trees/foliage to act as a forest, I normally have nearly every piece of land jagged underneath. try it. -

There are a lot of things you could do....maybe make the coaster interact with the land, then maybe with some Spanish-looking buildings. Try to reduce the rectangleness of you buildings. Mix up the landscaping a bit....try some gardens, bushes, plants...instead of those uni-color palm trees. Add some Spanish colors of your choice instead of just brown & yellow....anyway, give it a shot and show us how it turns out!...What could I do to make the themeing different on the coaster?

Thanks for the comments I will take some of them to mind. Well actually all of them to mind.
panoramical - I can't make the buildings have completely flat rooves that meet at all points, I only have those roof pieces. Um, I do have other scenery pieces though. These pictures are about 2 weeks old and I have done a lot with the trees and stuff like that. I just haven't had time to get new pics. I will try to get some new ones this week since I am on Spring Break.
JKay - By interact with the land do you mean hills and tunnels and stuff like that? -

2 suggestions:
Don't make the water even up with the level of the land.
And, Don't put so much of the same tree in a line. If you know what i mean. -
Vidgms Offline
Well with the trees in the line I was going for something that looked real, but in the game it turned out sucky. -

I have updated my park. I added some trees and some WW cactuses. I added an inverted impulse coaster named The crusades.

Ok, we don't want to see your coaster ratings! That's what 's do!!! [oh wait you are!!!]
As i said before, make every tile where you put land jagged. Put bushes, and flowers on the ground where you have the trees also. And use the jungle theming for that. Personally I don't like the WW trees.
The buildings are too blocky! Experiment with 2x2, then you'll be able to move onto ajoining buildings and arches and stuff. -

I still don't get the jagged land edges thing, and don't worry I won't put the rating in anymore. I like that smiley. -

Panoramical, shut up.
Don't put jagged rocks everywhere.
That would make everything incredibly ugly.
They are best used in moderation. -

I'm just giving advice John. People have given my advice and I've noticed that my parkmaking abilities have greatly improved. So shut the fuck up i'm just trying to give advice.
Anyway, as for the jagged land, what i mean is like half raising land. You know when you try to raise a bit of land, it can go flat or jagged. That's all i mean by that. If you need any more help, i'd be glad to assist you (AIM/MSN). -

I did what you said about the jagged land and it made the coaster look a whole lot better thanks for the advice. -

The trees.
You dont have to use desert trees and and cacti to show its a desert. Experiment with the different types trees and undergrowth (bushes, smaller trees, etc.) to make the floura have some "volume" and so we dont have to look at that ground because thats just plain ugly.
Buildings.
You see how you built you lake, not boxed or rectangular, try buildings like that. What I mean is, dont make your buildings rectangular because, well, 1: its tacky and 2: it shows little imagination. Try going someplace in your town or nearby and take a look at different buildings and their shape (and not the old downtown type row of buildings), take a sketch or pic of them if you wish, whatever floats your boat. Oh, and one more thing, just like with the trees, you dont have to use spanish scenery only, experiment with all the types AND colors. Yellow sills and brown wood! Eww!
Also try to incorporate your buildings into the land: build a building so it looks like the building looks like it is built into the raised ground around it. Maybe add some Pueblo Indian reminants into a cliff face or something for more land variation.
Coaster.
Although your coaster is ok, theres no real exciting points in it. Since its a twister type, give it more height changes and swooping turns. Most of your layout is close to the ground, which is ok if its a terrain hugger, but youve got flat land and it looks blah. Add more flowing hills with 60* inclines, especially since youve got a pretty big drop there. Thats another thing, since you do have big drop and pretty flat layout, your coaster goes pretty fast thru it (might hurt the riders). Adding more of the bigger hills will lessen the speed of your entire ride which will make it more comfortable for the riders and will look pretty to the eye.
And water.
Someone else already said it, since your water is the same height as the surrounding land, what happens if it floods (hypothetically)? You need to either lessen the water's height or raise all the immediate and nearby land one level as to act as a barrier of some kind. Id go with the first one. And my final comment about this park: the water fountains - whats their purpose? Since its a desert park, wouldnt you think there would be a shortage of water? Just my opinion.
Oh, and dont put peeps into your park: their tacky and cause trouble too, IMO.
Thats my critique. So far!
