Nice screens. Good atmosphere and color blend. Water ride screen looks pretty good but not too fond of the landscaping though. But good work over all.

The first screen looks good, a little boring because of the colors, but with a nice architecture and pleasant atmosphere.
2nd Screen: I just don't feel the Jurassic Park theme, and I don't say that because there isn't the typical large building...it's just that the walls, objects(apart from the little torches) and foliage you selected aren't really related with the JP theme IMO...well...the foliage maybe, but the rest is just like the other buildings you have made...
Anyway, the atmosphere is pretty nice, and it shows efford. :) Keep going.

Your Jurrasic Park area looks a little, I dunno... upscale? The park in the movie is dingy, tropical. Public areas are thatched rooves, maintenance sheds and such are corrugated steel... Just doesn't work, I'm afraid. (Not to mention the foliage gives nothing resembling a jungle setting.)

Everything is nice but way too generic for me to get any feeling of a theme from it. I don't think you have to redo it all but maybe you could change a texture or two to suit the themes you are using. And maybe some other small details could help with that as well.

Also, Brent is going to pitch in and help out with at least the Spider-man ride on Marvel Superhero Island. I also want him to build the rest of the area.

Hey Mike, just let everyone know then! ;) lol jp, it's cool.

I've been extremely busy the last couple days (drove up to Sacramento on Thursday evening, got there at 2:30AM, wedding for finance's bro at 10, drove back down after, flat tire in kettleman city, thus us getting home at 1:30AM this morning, and just catching up on sleep). But yeah, I think Allison just went to bed, so I'll get on that now... sober, lol.

About the Jurassic Park foliage..... I made the scenario without jungle trees, so I know the tree selection for the area sucks! But I will go back later, add more thatched roofs, make it look a little more like dinosaurs roam around. I just sent the park to Brent for a while.

I guess that DImport could help you...I don't know how to use it, but you can ask for some instructions.
  • thirstydeer%s's Photo
I've used the DImport and it is very easy to get familiar with, not to mention it is a Godsend for my current park project.

If you want a list of instructions on how to use it, let me know (don't feel like typing it all out unless it's actually wanted).

Hi Mike...glad to see you around, I'm making a sort of revist/interest level increase myself.

Hope things are ok in Cali, and I'm not sure when/where you sent the e-mails I never replied to.

    kaibueno@hotmail.com still works.

I'll try to e-mail you, am interested on how this park is going...from the sounds of it, it is not the version where I had been building a Doc Ock vs Spidey area...

Nice to see this project in the works again. Rog did a great job on the Hotel, props to him if he ever reads this.. I can feel the Jurassic Park area, mainly due to the oversized towers and electrical fence. Nice, like your old park with the Jurassic Park area. *the name escapes me at the moment* The port of entry looks great too, nice color choices. I'm not really feelin' the carousel though.. It's just kind of sitting out there on it's own.. EDIT: I just noticed the fence around the carousel, the color made it blend in a bit too much.

Good to hear from you. The email I sent you was to your kaibueno account and to an earthlink account. These were the emails I had. I emailed you a month before I carried on with the park again. I never had a copy of the current park so I started back a bit. It's hardly the same park. Brent has it now and is making the Marvel section. I actually just emailed him for an update. When I get it back, I'll focus on finishing Jurassic Park and build Toon Lagoon. If you want, Toon Lagoon could use some help.

And Todd, the old park was the RCT:LL Hollywood Hills.

Brent.... I've emailed you and messaged you a few times with no response. What's the status on this?

Mike needs a little more help wrapping this up with some IoA type themes (I wrapped up the JP area), so if you want to help with some... lets say bright IoA themes please let it be known here.

There is something to be said about not giving up on a park, even after 4 years in the works, kudos to Mike and Darren and whoever else is still working on this :D
  • Ge-Ride%s's Photo
What sort of bright IOA themes? Don't tell me here, but PM me for more info if I'd be right for this theme. Even if it calls for a bit more realism than I'm used to, I'd like to work on it and I've become more resourceful thanks to playing LL. Ironically, I seem to thrive on little available scenery and it actually helps my creative process which would make me the ideal candidate.
