Le Meridian was the last screenshot shown with the red and the tennis courts. That one seemed to get the most negative anyway and beach cottages will be a good replacement. We will add the tennis courts back though.Which one is Le Meridian?

Yes the project is still going, although going very slowly. The club is still working on the park and we hope to kick this one back in gear over the next couple of weeks.
With that said, here is a small update featuring "The Port of Entry" (coaster by Mick and themed by Mike Robbins).

Great stuff, except for the cyad bushes and the un-natural-looking waterfalls (too uniform). I'd like to see more tho. Nice update mike. -
CoasterForce Offline
Yeah, those cyad bushes look horrible here. In general though I think the foliage is sloppy. Besides that and the waterfall issue that JKay mentioned this is looking pretty good, though I've never liked Mike Robbins' work. Loving the queue and your fence selection. -

I must be honest, i am not to crazy about that screen.. Its just not delivering the Port of Entry feel that i would expect in a Universal park. I do like the stairs going up the hill it looks very nice. Some of the archy just seems undetailed. In some places the foliage is very nice, yet it seems like in others its quite weak. -

I hate to say this, but that is the most boring screen I have ever seen. Get some colour or some kind of structure in there. I don't know, it just seems a lot of rctm stuff is built for the sake of finishing a park, whereas other parkmakers only release stuff they're sure is pushing the limits of their abilities.
You lot can do 1000x better than this. -

Thanks guys for the feedback. A couple of things to bring up is that this along with The Masters Palette, are both old parks and they don’t have the option of the new objects or even object within the last year or longer. Although that should not be used as an excuse, it is a fact to some extent.
We are also proud that that we have not cancelled a project that we have publicly started. Although some may not be ground breaking, we still had fun building them and that is the point to these parks. The main reason why we strive to complete parks is that in most cases, someone has worked on the park and has put in a significant amount of hours on it. Is it fair to those who worked on it to just scrap the project?
Deanosrs - As for only releasing parks that “push the limitsâ€, I personally don’t agree with that as you have it stated in your reply
Yes you should build to push the limits but it would be nice if people released all their work (IMO). Even if it’s not pushing the limits, it might still spark ideas for others to build off of. This could explain the reason why so many parks don’t get finished or even offered as a download. However, I do appreciate the high standards you are placing with our parks.I don't know, it just seems a lot of rctm stuff is built for the sake of finishing a park, whereas other parkmakers only release stuff they're sure is pushing the limits of their abilities
As for this particular SS, it’s over a year old but the project will be getting back on track. With that said, we will look into the suggestions stated above.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

Aside from that little staircase running up the hill (which I found quite cute), absolutely NOTHING grabbed my attention from that screen. -

Just lookin momentarily and saw that the back of the waterfalls weren't icy and stuff. I'm not sure what you were going for (the entiretheme area), so I won't really say anything about much, not that I had anything to say. Although, I do think this is very contemporary and is very well done. Good stuff. -

It's been a long time for this project, yet it won't go away! Last time I posted about this was over two years ago and last update by RCTNW was almost a year. Here's a brief history of what's going on so far:
I abandoned RCT for a year and a half while going through a divorce, moving from England to California, starting a new life, etc. The usual! I knew I have always wanted to finish this park too so I never deleted it from my archives. I started this up again in May since I have been deployed. Unfortunately, the last screenshot's theme was lost, but I still had the basic coaster, so I saved the coaster design and took this back to the scenario editor.
Anyway, this project turned into a two mapper a long time ago but was never mentioned in this thread. Map 1 which has all the hotels, the city walk, and water park is 100% complete. Map 2 is about 33% done. Both maps are 256 x 256. Since the start of this, mickbw51 has dissapeared. Kai hasn't responded to any emails I sent. RCTNW emailed me a version of map 1 that was outdated. Since RCT Masters is dead, I decided to finish this as a solo park, but would like some help to finish the park map.
This park is loosly based on Islands of Adventures. I am using all of the same areas (minus Seuss area) but making different rides, some different names, but at the same time some of the usual names of IoA. RCTNW made a large parking area long ago which is still there. I added some small detail to go with it. Roger also made a hotel for this map (the only hotel on map 2) which is in screen 1, Mick also made the Falls View Cafe (not shown) and mini coaster (minus the coaster theming). From there, the rest of the park is my work.
Here is screen 1 featuring Rogers hotel. This thing is massive:
This is in the Port of Entry area (a lot different than IoA). You can see Mick's mini coaster 'Mystic' and a small part of the cafe in the bottom right corner, the shops on the water is recent stuff I did:
This is in the Lost Continent section. The Arrow looper is 'Merlin' with surrounding theming:
Still in construction is Jurassic Park area. Soon will be Toon Lagoon and Marvel Superhero Island.
------PLEASE READ THIS SECTION BELOW!!!!!------
I also would like a guest builder for this park. Is there anyone that would like to construct the entire area for Marvel Superhero Island? Included in this area would be a Inverted coaster called 'Wolverine', a Spider-Man ride, and some of the usual things seen in IoA. If anyone is interested, please email me at mikedrobbins1476@yahoo.com and I'll see what we can work out.Edited by Mike Robbins, 05 August 2006 - 01:51 AM.

Please excuse the size of the pics. I saved them as 600 x 800 but I guess photobucket resized them automatically. Once I get back to California next week and away from 56k, I'll fix these. -

Well, I'm really glad to see that this is alive. In fact this was one of the parks that really caught my interest when I was first joining the community. So, it is so great to see work on this again.
The one thing that I feel is missing from these screens is the landscaping that should be incorporated into the park, especially if it's supposed to be in the Hollywood Hills. Universal Studios is like on a cliff, and half of the park is hundreds of feet below the other half. I understand that not all of it will be so dramatic or exaggerated, but I feel if you really want to capture the setting, more rolling hills and cliffs would be ideal.
Anyway, I'm sorry but I'm really busy with RCT projects as of now with RCT Fury and my solo/designs. (well either way, I'm sure you've never heard of me, so it doesn't matter) But I do wish the best of luck. -

Looks pretty nice. That hotel is pretty good, it manages to stay interesting despite how large it is, which is ahrd to do. One thing though, that golf course better have some nice landscaping and a believable layout. It bugs the crap out of me when people add golf courses (which are very nice additions) but then don't give them enough time and end up making a crap-looking course that's just a waste of space. I'd be willing to help with the Marvel section, or maybe the golf course if necessary , though I can understand if you'd rather have someone who's actually completed something in the past. If you're interested, just send a pm my way, if not that's fine too. -

The hotel looks exceptional as always, however the rest of the theming just doesnt appeal to me like back when you first started advertising -

Nice structures you have there...
That hotel is outstanding, really realistic and with a pleasant modern style. You made an awesome building.
The rest is ok...you didn't use the most entertaing colors I've ever seen, but it's good enough for me, although I don't like too much the paths of the third pic.
The coaster also looks good, witha nice layout, but I don't feel the theme you mentioned, I don't know, it just looks as a common coaster.
Anyway...you're making a great job, keep going. -

Aww man! If I knew this a few months ago, I would have done this with you and not started my own IOA park. Good luck with it, and now with three IOA parks being built right now, I'm interested to see how they all will compare. -

Just wanted to clarify the hotel was done by rwadams....
I resized the pictures above too!
And now two more pics.
This is more from Port of Entry. Like I mentioned before, this isn't a typical IoA type park. There are differences. The Port of Entry in this park isn't Arabian like in IoA. And this parks PoE is larger.
Here is the Jurassic Park River Ride. Not the typical JPRR either (No large building. Instead a couple of smaller buildings on a mountain.)
Also, Brent is going to pitch in and help out with at least the Spider-man ride on Marvel Superhero Island. I also want him to build the rest of the area. Eman, if I need help, I'll give you a hollar later on. Thanks.
