Ok, here's another park in progress by me (lost all inspiration for others, will come back to them at a later date). This area of the park is based in a Mine Village, so the colours are fairly dull. I know none of you will like it, all I want is suggestions on how to make it better. Can you let me know if it's better than my previous stuff. Thanks. Also, it's probably worth mentioning that this is deliberatly dull and boring, since I need to know what i need to do to liven it up, and also whether it's worth carrying on with the park or not.

I think its a bit too plain for my liking.Maybe if you had more detail added in it would look fine. -

yeah thanks i take it you mean add barrels on balconies, make buildings less blocky, add flowers etc. -

I agree add more detail to the walls and make it colorful to catch the spectator's eye. -

I would add more windows to your buildings. So that every wall piece has a window in, i think that will work. and like the others have said, just add some more detail to the buildings.
Because this is a mine theme you could put down some barrols and broken wheels and stuff from the "mine theme" in the game. And my last suggestion would be to add some flowers, yes even though you want to make it look like a dark area.
I like the rest. -

I think it looks good but i would suggest to change the colour of your door frame to something other than brown.

ok thanks for feedback (keep coming), I'll adapt the screen and post a new one in time! -

I rekon you should vary your wall textures on each wall to make it more exciting. They are actually quite a nice collection of buildings, its just that the walls are quite dull. -

^I agree with Rage, the textures you've chosen don't seem to fit the theme you are going for....
I see no wooden walls or textures, and the whole screen is lacking atmosphere. I think the paths are to blame for most of the bad atmosphere, and the screen looks so 'flat'. Give it another hill or something, the flat path on the lowest section looks dull.
Vary the paths more, instead of putting an outline
And also, as said before, use more windows, but not on every wall. Instead of some windows, use textures
I hope I'm not too rough, as you asked for suggestions
Btw, what is up with NE and jagged land? -

not much change, just an update of the previous screen with all your comments. I may have missed some out. just point them out politely again, and they WILL be resolved. of course, that's if what you said i agree with!

Looks good but i am always picky about this and say it to alot of people i think you should put white water at the bottom of the water fall. -

Dont forget it's based around a kind of mine theme so it will look best fairly dull.Well it does look better.
Try adding some flowers to enhance the atmosphere. -

The architecture is kinda small and doesn't flow very well. Path overhangs help some, but you need to but the buildings in blocks to make the small architecture work.
Speaking of overhangs, they look a bit too LL and out of place. Why not use some of Toon's 1/4 poles instead?
Also, try to make your paths less square, it can really improve the look. -
Triksiludo Offline
Hmm... much better
Still there's the paths, but the one thing questioning my mind ATM, is:
Why are the doors just hanging there?
Booby traps? -
Panoramical Offline
^the hanging off doors are shutters. alot of parks seem to have them and i like it. -

the things that you have modified are great! but the whole thing is a litte small. to small if you ask me! build bigger and higher! ;-)
