(Archive) Advertising District / Lost Rivers

Hey,

I started this park around 2 weeks ago. The park is 70x70 and it has 1 LIM Coaster right now but it should by the end have 3 coasters or maybe 2 depending on the land. The LIM Coaster is name Colossus and the colors are sadly exactly the same as..well..colossus at Thorpe Park if you have a better name for it please let me know.

I think you should try and make your coastlines more natural, rather than having 90 degree edges. Also, it'd be nice if the building in the top right of the second screen weren't just held up by two quite thin walls.

Other than that I quite like it. Be creative with names - use books/music/internet/life as an inspiration to come up with unique ones.

I think you've overused Toons spanish scenery a bit...
The atmosphere however, looks tropically nice (maybe a bit too overtreed though)...
Looking forward seeing more,

well it looks okay, but the red flowers look to strong agaisnt the pale browny stuff. and in the entrance area the buliding with red roofs looks digusting so change the colour.

Six Frags how is this overuse of the Spanish scenery? I only used the rooves.

Leighx What color shall i change that stuff to? I think that if everything in my park is a shade of blue or darn well near it then it will look kinda wierd. So what color do you suggest?

Mantis any other ancient/ruined looking walls i could use or any other ideas for the walls of the building? I will also fix the 90 degree edges. Should i make it all curved land or have some jagged land?

Sorry, what I meant was that it would look better if you use more different textures on the buildings(different walls, roofs etc..)

OK what do you want from me!! I have the rivers in the park i have the trees Stuff out there wasnt exactly hilly. I dont go for the overly out of this world landscaping i go for realism.

I like the architecture, although i agree that the red doesnt fit too well. And with the other roof i think a different brown would work better. I like the treeing, it fits well with the theme your looking for. The only thing i dont like is the coaster. It looks too... thin and pindly if your know what i mean? But ive never really liked that type of coaster anyway. Overall i like it, and im looking forward to seeing more updates.

I did change the color of the red rooves and got rid of most of the blood red flowers. I would have added supports to the LIM but i forgot them, all i have are the Phatage Slanted supports.

If by "The other roof" you mean the one with the middle brown colored roof then i can change that one to a diff color. For rooves what color do you think is better terracotta or tan?

*Update*

I added a new floorless coaster in the park with no name yet. I got the beginning (drop and first 3 inversions) from the new floorless coaster at Tivoli Gardens.

Comments and name suggestions for the ride. If you still have a suggestion for Colossus then that works also.

I think that last floorless screen looks the best. Very nice atmosphere.

it looks nice although your colors are mono it seems for the buildings. Your Station for your Floorless seems very small too but the coaster it self looks very nice. I would add more windows or open spaces to the restaurant, looks very shut off due to all the solod walls.

Theres 3 other things i dont like about the screenshot:

1). The Tops of the arches don't match up, i would try making them level, although it could ,ake it look plain. Now i think im wrong about that

2). I dont like those roman peices in the path. I would try some planting with pots if ya know what i mean by that?

3). I dont like the egyption temple in between the arches. If you kept it path instead i dont think that would make it bad, or even noticable.

Another tip wouldbe put a window either side of the Colossus Cafe sign

Thanks i will change some of the stuff that you pointed out.

Alchemist I am not changing the station because i think if i have a huge station it will make the ride look to small. A small station for a Small coaster!

I will add windows the the Cafe.

I may take out the little egyptian temple. If i do i will put in a little building like in the screen of Colossus.
