I've got about 1 GB of space left on my computer.
I've already deleted a bunch of rct saved games and uninstalled everything I'm not using. Any help concerning what I can delete would help a lot. And it turns out that my windows folder is about 9 GB. Is there anything in there I can get rid of?
Thanks. -

I help people with this type of problem all the time. My favorite suggestion is to use the Windows search utility to search for all files (leave the "named" field blank) with a Size of at least 5000KB or 10000KB. After the search is complete, make sure your search window is on the Details view (View-->Details) and click twice on the Size column heading. This sorts the files by their size. You can see what's taking up the most space. If you don't recognize the type of file, DON'T DELETE IT! But if you see some video files or something else you know you don't need, rename them to some name you'll be able to find later, and if your computer's still running fine after a couple of days get rid of the renamed files.
You also might try the Disk Cleanup utility included with Windows. (Start-->Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools-->Disk Cleanup, at least on my computers) -

Heh, I just have about 399 MB space left on my monstrous 6.4 GB harddrive, and I'm not complaining.
Or actually, I am complaining.
But the point is that I'd be very happy if I had 1 GB empty.
Try always to think about poor starving children before saying anything. -

All I really have is Photoshop7, Image Ready, FireworksMX, DreamweaverMX, Flash MX, Bryce 5, and Paint Shop Pro 8. Heh. -

Thanks guys. Espescialy cBass, it really helped. Now I've got 3.8 GB free and I found out that my brother's kazaa folder is 19 GB, so he's going through that deleting a bunch of stuff.

Well, if you have XP (any version) or RedHat 7.3, I can tell you how to add memory, well, sort of. All it really is, is making your computer think it has more space. That could eventually speed up the computer, but also a disc cleanup I recommend. -

So anyone got ideas on how to force your computer illiterate family let you buy and install a larger hd? -

If they are computer illiterates, it should be fairly easy. Just throw in a lot of technical terms and whatever in your arguments, and you should get one.
Study how those annoying people who work at computer stores manage to talk computer illiterates into buying some of the worst, overpriced computers and still having the computer illiterates leaving the store with a confused smile on their face, a lot poorer than before.
That's how you're going to get a new harddrive.
