i have recieved an email from security@microfsoft.com around 5 times saying:

Dear friend , use this Internet Explorer patch now!
There are dangerous virus in the Internet now!
More than 500.000 already infected!

or

Hello DW , use this Internet Explorer patch now!
There are dangerous virus in the Internet now!
More than 500.000 already infected!

with an attachment of 9.38kb called patch.exe.

My mum rang microsoft saying whats this 'patch' you keep sending me and they said the company NEVER sends patch via e-mail and that it will most likely be a virus.

So if anyone else recieves it i suggest you delete it.

Is that the MyDoom virus that was going around a week or two ago? *Checks e-mail* Nope I don't have it.

Since i scrapped my old email (dmx56eminem@yahoo.com) and got my new one (rctfan1556s@yahoo.com) i have only got like 10 or 15 things in my bulk folder then after that my bulk folder has been empty for quite sometime and i haven't got that virus or any email disgised(sp?) as a virus in my email for a long time, which is good but thanx for the info.
So i've been free of virus emails and spam emails for a long time and i hope it stays that way.

I just checked my email and got an email from CHRISTIAN BERAVUDO or something in all-caps. It had an attached file, was an unknown sender, and had no subject. WTF was that? some virus? I didn't open it, just deleted it
