First off....the topic is not bragging....I was good like 3 years ago when RCT Station was just starting (it might have been longer, I don't remember). I do not claim greatness now, because I have seen many of your parks and they are great. Secondly, the subtitle refers to the theme of my new park, which is different than most, because it has a message. Not exactly political, but when it is released you will understand. This may interest you also, because I have found that the style of park making has changed, and the standard has grown immensly. For example, I downloaded the newest spotlight, Audrix Gardens, and frankly I thought it was poor. But hold on, don't flame me, because my style has been buried with years of tycoon dust. I remember when it was more about realism, and less huge feats of, well other stuff. Mike Robbin's Virginia Historic Park influenced my parkmaking the most I think, and so I tried to emulate that style, but now the parks have become more fantastical and wild (which is good also).
So, after years of inactivity I am making a RCT 2 park and though I make no claim to fame today, I think early stages of production are going very well. While I'm not making coasters with 9.00++++ excitement ratings as easily as I used to, the scenery in this park is (to me) nothing less than my best. It also is being made without any trainer (just flatland workbench with 5 mil. to start with). So, as a curiosity to many of you, I figured it might humor you to casually follow the developments of this park and see, when it is finally submitted to the spotlight, if it does well or not. BTW my former RCT name was Jaster and I am unfortunately responsible for Lone Star Theme Park and Four Towers Amusement Park (plus other lesser known ones). Peace-jAttached Images

Unless you are doing one of those non- custom scenery parks, you need custom scenery. -

Um, right.
At the moment, it sucks. I mean, at least put the walls on the inside of buildings... -

Currently I haven't used anything from trainers or what have you. BTW, is custom scenery only for RCT 2 X-packs or can I use it for the standard version. Honestly, I don't have a clue on how to use custom scenery. -

That style is so October 2002. No custom scenery or anything. It's alright, nothing like you're saying it is. Why are you building a park influenced off another? Ya they say it's flattery, I say it's a lack of imagination/thought.
Anyway, the buildings are alright, for no custom scenery. But then wtf am I talking about, this might actually be good if it were LL. It looks a lot like my friends park, a lot. The coaster layout at the bottom corner looks pretty sweet though. Dunno what else though. -

LMAO.Audrix Gardens
Anyway, the park looks pretty crap, it really is one of the worst screens ever IMO. -

I'm not trying to copy Mike Robbins...I said that was the park that jump started everything I started doing. I'm not saying this is great now. I know this woulda been good stuff a long time ago, but of course I did say that =D Again...I know you guys are good at what you do, so maybe for some this is soooo bad that its beyond any conrstuctive criticism, but for others maybe they have a few thoughts on what I need to do (I suppose firstly to find out about custom scenery)That style is so October 2002. Even back 3 years ago this would have been mediocre. I was around RCT Station at that time, and there was better stuff coming out than this.
You use the same trees over and over without thought of variation to give it that realistic look you seem to think parks lack nowadays. I will tell you now, this park will not come close to winning spotlight, but will probably get runner-up.
Calm down on the arrogance. You never really had much of a name except in your own mind, and never really had a large following from what I can remember. -

The first thing I saw when i looked at the park was the the treeing was terrible. Mix it up a bit. Don't put big bunches of the same tree in one spot.
The architecture is really bad. The buildings are practically boxes with iwndows and doors. Making them bigger and more detailed. Overall, it looks cluttered and very bland. No color, boring landscaping, and bad architecture. If you want to run with the parkmakers today your gonna need ton step it up a notch. RCT2 is about details, details, details. You need to take a look at some of the better RCT2 and restart this project.
^ Runner-up? Doubt it. The architecture is piss poor and tghe treeing is horrible.
Good luck! -

Son Tested Shelter- Did you bother to download Rivers Of Babylon by the living legend SACoasterFreak (or as you knew him, SNOWBOUND!!!!!!!). RoB is the goods man, great theming, excellent coasters, perfect archetecture and it's still with in the bounds currently defined as "Realism". You say you used to be a great back in the early RCT Station days and it shows.
Allow me to give you a few tips:
1)Give your self a greater veriety of trees, etc. to mix in with the rest of the stuff, Those short, full tile "poof" trees just look really horable in the number.
2)Play around with archetecture from a little. Those buildings are all boxes, and short, squaty, boring, boxes at that. Try adding 1X2 "lean-to's" around the edges and would it hurt to build a little taller!?
3)Use some flowers and shit. If your going to use RCT2 there are options for flower selection that allow flower to fit perfectly into every theme because: YOU CAN COLOR THEM! That's right, go into the "flower" area of the sceanery selection, go down to the one that's dull red and look over to the right a little, see the color dull red in the little box? Click on it and out pops a box with COLORS!
Really you should check out some other RCT before jumping in, calling the "New Element style" a load of BS and then showing screens that wouldn't even fit in at the Station anymore!
Jeez.

I hate to be really critical, but at the moment, frankly, it's rubbish.
I mean, you can't really put curved roofs on squared 90degree buildings, it just looks naf. And put the walls on the inside of buildings. also, you need to cover those toilets with buildings, and also, the hole in the ground doesn't work. I tried it once, and I got flamed, now I 'm better, i know why it was so shit. The architecture is too bland, with a horrible range of colours, and the tree selection is too gridded together. I'm sorry, but I do like the truth. lots. Oh well, just keep hacking at it, and you'll get there soon -

Truth. My following was with Jason Boruchi's fans mostly (who did Worlds of Africa, Adventure Pavillions, Fantasia Gardens...) and I admit being around a decent sized-but isolated group- of enthusiasts was encouraging because everyone liked the stuff. If I have Big Head-Its my fault-Appologies requested! =D So its pretty obvious this needs to be scratched. I'm making LL stuff on RCT 2. BTW, what I was saying with Audrix Gardens is that, well, there are no rides. I would never go to a park like that and neither would you I think (but granted, VERY creative, and they did stuff I cannot do). That is what I mean by realism. Well, I can at least thank you for a quick and decisive response on this one. I'll save my theme for a worthwile park. Peace-jEven back 3 years ago this would have been mediocre. BTW...This really ought to be pinned...As an example of how NOT to make a park =D -

I love it actually. Reminds me of my rct style back when. Don't change it because of these shitheads who can not aprrieciate what is there. Custom makes things worse. Staying close to rct is better. Good job. -

We started one...I'll tell you what though, man, that coaster Legend of the Green Armadillo had it going. That was also the first park I did anything with LL. It was all right, but I looked at it a while back and except for the rides, it wasn't that great. But now I can't even make great rides! Haha....If you ever d/l Four Towers....golly, I had I think 3 rides over 9 +++ excitement, and another 2 or 3 over 8. If you don't mind my saying, some of those rides were really good. That is past now-j -

Hey man....thanks for the comments, but you could be stepping into the line of flame with me, which probably isn't too smart. Thanks anyways =DI love it actually.
