    The question is do you blast Phil Collins when you are going to school, I am sure the chicks would like that.

    I live in a cookie-cutter house, aka tract housing. All the houses look the same just about (usually 3-4 different models per tract, just different colors and mirrored). It's alright, I don't really care. The house was bought at $210, but can sell now for over $450 thanks to Temecula being a real hot place to buy housing in so cal now. You won't find a house for less than $350 thousand now, it's insane.

    And no, I don't and will not be blasting Phil Collins. If anything, it's the 200+ cds my big bro gave me yesterday since he's off for boot camp in a couple weeks, or my collections of cd's... which is mainly techno stuff and punk/pop rock.

    Honda's suck. IMO. But whatever, not my car. (My car could whoop you up, just a side note. heh)

    Oh, and where do you work where you make 25,000 a year while your still in high school. I calculated and found that if I worked 40 hours a week (which is almost impossible to get) I would only make 15-16k.

    It's funny to read all these posts of jealousy. Atticus, congradulations! Lucky you, I doubt that I'll be able to buy a car when I'm 18/19. I would probably choose a Honda if I bought a car. They are very fuel efficent, a giant plus in today's world.
  • Atticus%s's Photo
    Nitro, Honda's don't suck. Honda's are way better in lots of categories than many other car companies. Saturn, Kia, Nissan, Ford, Pontiac, and Volkswagen are perfect examples. There's nothing that touches my car anyways (price wise) for all the features it came with, it's insane.

    And I dunno, even though it's a straight 4 it still gets off pretty fast, has 160 in the spedometer.

    And for how I get my money, I started my own small website design buisness. My dad's gotten me the majority of my clients so far (ranging from a band site, to a sub-division of Home Depot), and I'm starting at $400 now, and can go up to wherever (trying to get this one ground buisness to pay out around $1000 for theirs). I'm stealing away the competion since everyone else starts at like, $750 (at least).

    Natelox, thanks, and ya, they wish they had a car worth even half mine, lol. jp But ya, we have a Civic, and it's lasted a long time with minimal to no problems, so it was a no brainer decision to go with another Honda. And yes, the fuel effiency was a big plus. It's at 28/32mpg, not as much as the new Civics, but still good. Holds 12 gallons, so it'll get me about 336/384ish per fill up. Not bad, not bad at all.

    I wish I had that job...I work twice as hard and get nothing. lol. Best of luck with the business, wish I could take part. :)

    As for cars...I love my Pontiac. Comes with a lot of features and looks incredible.

    No, I don't drive it to school, I got the bus for that. I only drive to GADV and out for food. or such places.
  • Jellybones%s's Photo
    What's the point of a car if you still ride the bus?

    So you don't have to fight for parking at the school, silly.
  • Jellybones%s's Photo
    I would think that people mostly get a car to not take the bus, but whatever.
    I like to ride my bike anyways.

    3,000 Students go to my school. 1,200 are old enough to drive and they fill the fricken parking lot to capacity. Especially during school football games. So why pass up free transportation? Also stop and go traffic on Route 9 here is Bull shit. Waste of gas stopping and then moving 10 feet to the next traffic light. good thing we have a gas station next to the school and a new high school is being built like a town over it will decrease the Student amount in the area. Less people = Good. Plus about the Gas. The prices are higher than usual here. $1.50 per gallon here its bull shit alone, Average summer last year was $2.00(not that theres a point to that). the lowest I've seen was $1.35. So why waste money for a school for a 16 mile trip (8 miles there and 8 miles back, and having to get up earlier than needed.

    How old are you?
    And why can't you write.

    QOSTA, are you like that fat kid at my school who rides his bike on the side walk and runs people over? Seems like you...

    Who said I didn't have my bro in the car(he is of age to be able to have a younger driver in the car) 21 or older here can acompany a younger driver. Liscence alone, Permit (someone of age and or 2 other passangers, Back Seat no front passanger, only able for a Learners Permit holder.

    My bro also takes classes for his job(electrician apprentic) right in the building on some days.
  • Bender902%s's Photo
    Haha. Sucks for you all having to get to school early to get a parking spot. At my school you get an assigned parking spot. And you can't get your permit til 16 1/2. That sucks too. But what really pisses me off are those damn Hoosiers who live just across the river from me and get thier permits at 15.
  • Caddie Gone Mad%s's Photo
    I get mine at 15 1/2. Yee haw.

    Nah, there's no sidewalk on most of the roads around here, and where there is, I give way to pedestrians. Because I'm a nice guy, you know. It's too cold to be riding my bike to school right now anyway.

    And since we're disclosing our states' rules, here you have to be 16 for a permit, 16 1/2 for a junior license, and 17 for a license. With the junior license you can drive alone, but not until you have a full license can you drive unrelated people under 18. Or something like that, I really don't know. Also, I misspelled license a bunch of times in this post.

    Permit = 15 = March 28, 2004.
    License = 16 = March 28, 2005.
    Lucky me. :)
    What's a 'junior license'?
