General Chat / I got a car

Yes... this month has kicked ass x10 compared to a shitty January. Got a new gf, new semseter, buisness started up... and now I got a brand spankin new car... kinda.

So I got a 2004 Honda Accord EX, not the V6 cause it gets off the line as it is (compared to my mom's Civic). The sticker price was $24,000 but since it was on the lot for more than 130 days, the price went down to $19,500. Why? Because they, the Honda dealership, loses money/have to pay Honda after it's been on for so long. I never knew that, so there's something you might have learned too for the next time you go buy a car, lol. Anywho, here it is... power everything, and a sun roof. :-d

SFGADV: Ya, I see them around town all the time. They're so damn nice inside though, real quiet and takes bumps like they aren't even there. Even came with XM radio for free for three months (all channels... except for the playboy one, which i didn't even knew they had, lol).

ECC: Yes, January's do always suck. I'm not rich. And I'm not a fag. ;)X lol, jp.

Steve: I'm 5'5... not too short. lol

That looks like a nice car. Sucks you couldn't get the V6, but that still has nothing against the fact that it's a brand new '04 Accord.

    Nice! Looking great.

Where did you, a high school student, come up with $19,000?
  • Atticus%s's Photo
Well, I've had $2,700ish saved up from my days working at Burger King, and I just got another 2 grand from signing some contracts for my buisness this week, so ya. Had the money for the DP, and should have it paid off within a year.

    Okay.
Now another question...with $19,000, why did you get a fucking Honda Accord?
  • Atticus%s's Photo
    Because they're reliable.

And Micool, my mom and dad ain't helping me with this.

    I agree.

Do you live in florida?....Your house is made out of the material i usually only see in florida, or california....

Okay, fine. So why did you spend 20 grand on a car again?
I know I wouldn't spend all of 20000 bills on a car, if I had them...

You should have got a Scion and saved $5,000. Hell, an Element, that's a Honda and cheaper than an Accord. That's a lot of money for a car that's just as reliable as a cheaper car you might find - oh, and a car that looks good for a 40-year-old woman.

    California.

And Micool, after calculating some things, I'm expecting to make at least $25,000 a year now, that's side money if I get a job at a real place, so ya. And I like Honda's, really reliable. Plus it was a damn good deal.

Why do all houses in America look bland and unintresting?

You're not rich... but you're on an income of $25000 as a high school student.

    Right.

    Because he lives in California.
Houses around where I am (New England, ironically) actually have character. Except mine.

My first car is a freebie hand me down from my parents, Becuase you don't wanna get a brand new car and go right out and have an accident. I am getting a 2004 Chevy as of now, but I am dealing with a 2003 Red Chevy Malibu
