General Chat / Chat Once More

1. Go to http://www.mirc.com
2. Download the mirc 6.12 chat client.
3. Install, and Open above mentioned chat client.
4. Click the "Options" icon, (the hammer and folder)
4a. Set your personal options (name, username, etc)
5. Under the "Connect" Menu, click the sub-menu "servers"
6. Click, under IRC Network, "Magicstar" , Under Server, "Magicstar: Random Server"
7. Click to connect.
8. Upon connection, type, in the console window: /join #newelement
9. Chat.

It is also best to register your nickname once you have logged onto the server. Type "/msg nickserv register yourpassword youremail" to register the nickname you are currently logged on with, and then use "/nickserv identify yourpassword" to "log in" to the irc server. This is to prevent people's nicknames from being stolen.
And obviously, replace "yourpassword" and "youremail" with a password of your choosing and an email address that you actually use. No user, op, or admin should ever ask for your password, so do not give it out under any circumstances.Edited by Zach, 06 February 2004 - 10:54 PM.

Hopefully we can run the chat during all the daylight hours rather than having specific times.
Pym, click Add server, or make a new server otherwise.
Name it "Magicstar"
