(Archive) Advertising District / New Park in the Making

Hello again. I need a quick bit of help. I have supports that go into water, so i would like to raise the water level up one under the supports. I have done it, by using the zero clearance on the 8 cars trainer, but parks of my coasters are disappering. The whole cobra roll dissapeared on my new inverted coaster, and i really want to get this done so i can carry on with my park. If anyone knows how, and/or can help it would be greatly appreciated

As said your supports better be above the water, but you could have cement blocks underwater. When u use the restore clearance button, you also have to restore the clearance after you did your modifications. Maybe that's the problem that you didn't restore the clearances?

Yea if u want da water raised there then use zero all clearances.

I have tried it, and i still have the same problem. This is what i done.

1) Zero all clearances - Absolute
2) Raised the water under the supports
3) Clicked Restore Clearances.

I done it with the 8 cars trainer. Please let me know if i missed something out. Parts of inversions only seem to dissapear. The inversions that suffered were not even near where i raised the water, ill post a pic below.

You can see the helixes that the supports hold are fine, but the vertical loop and cobra roll are really screwed.

It also affected the vertical loop and cobra roll on my other coaster - Silencer.

In LL you'd just do "restore clearances" and the whole thing would be fine.
Can't you do something like that in RCT2 too?
Richie, the new screens look just as promising as the first ones. I'm impatiently waiting for this park.

I'm pretty sure that the problem lies with the 8 cars trainer. Depending on which version you use, certain functions will just flat out not work and eventually the versions 1.22 and 1.23 will stop working altogether for a park that's been tampered with enough. I've had this problem, so I then used 8.21, which just recently stoped raising and lowering track pieces for some reason, so I then had to go back to an even earlier version to do that. Which version are you using, and are there any error messages that come up when using it?

Im using 8cars122 and theres no error messages. The only thing that happens is the dissapearing track.

Its really annoying me now

BTW I'm looking at your screens. I like it, and think originality is the main thing. But I don't like the "Way out Only" sign by the parking lot. Maybe "Exit Only?" Yes thats VERY picky. =D

The latest '8 cars trainer' contain the "restore all clearence" feature.

This is the zero/restore clearance menu.

1) i zero all clearances - absolute
2) Raise water in game
3) Restore clearances

When i go into my game again, parts of my track dissapear.. Help

I would reopen the trainer.

This happens to me every time I use the SoB trainer to merge a loop into a wood track. The lift hill and inversions start to disappear and won't come back. I use 'restore all clearances' but it still won't work. I have found no cure yet.

I thought the SOB was for RCT1?? Maybe ill try my luck with that then. No updates for a while because i borrowed Final Fantasy X from a mate.... Ill probably get going again in the next couple of days.

Ya no problem, i wouldnt wanna read through 3 pages to find 1 thing. The theme is supposed to me a small village thats been taken over by evil. Kinda thing.. Its called the village of silent whispers and the coaster is called silencer, allthough it could still change to whisperer. I was trying to do something new, but since this is my first 'real' attempt at architecture in a park i havent pulled it of too well. Im looing to improve, but a 50x50 park has taken my interest lately. The archy in my 50x50 is [B]MUCH MUCH[B] better, much more detailed. But i cant workout what the theme is??? Im building and building and lookin good, but a theme i cant explain... lol

Stick with "Silencer" or better yet, "The Silencer" - either way, it sounds better than "Whisperer". I see your theme now - good idea!

I have lost interest in this park, i havent done anything in it for a few weeks now. Even though its not finished i am going to post it for download here. Please let me know what you think, looking back i can see its pretty poor, and i know i can do a lot better. The only things about this park that i liked were the coasters. I thought the layout was pretty good on them.

I will be releasing a 55*55 park here soon, as well as over at the depot. Now please rip this park to shreds
