yes @ the comments regarding coaster colors.

AP: your rides and architecture are great. I HATE the theming job tho. I mean, "stylish bareness" is one thing, but I'm just not feeling the scattered palm trees as the only means of non-building theming in that last screen.

What would you suggest as non-building theming? I will admit that I am not very good at non-building theming, I just don't know what would look good and fit in as theming.

I'll get a screen of the new coaster colors up in a bit.

Thanks for the replies. I've got another screen to show you guys. This isn't in the story....but is relevant to Carthage....it is the turnaround for a woodie called Hannibal.

Hannibal, nice name. The coaster looks good, i see you have the same colour scheme for this coaster as with the corkscrew. Thats not a bad thing though as the colours do go well with the backing scenery and archy.

Lol....it wasn't the same color scheme when I built it....I guess it is pretty similar now....but I like it so I doubt I'll change it now...

I really like the colors AP, but for some reason, it looks a little bumpy, maybe its just the angle of the screen....either way its still quite nice

I like the colors and layout (what I see), but maybe add a bit more landscaping, landcolors, and water/oasissess here and there with bushes to spice it a bit up..

Preface: The Trojans have encountered a great storm that has ravaged their ships. Many lost their lives. Luckily Neptune came up from the depths of the sea and calmed the storm. The remaining ships struggled to a nearby coast. The torn and weary Trojans dragged themselves onto the shore. Having been devastated by such great losses, they were greatly depressed. They were tired, hungry, and lost.


In the scene: Aeneas, seeing the current state of his fellow Trojans, decides to set out in search of food and clean water. He also is searching for any sign of life in the region. After stumbling up a steep hill, Aeneas looks down the length of the beach. Along the tree line next to the sand, he notices a slight movement. Then he catches a glimpse of a small deer-like animal. Eventually an entire herd of this animal emerges from the forest. With his mouth watering, and a spear held at the ready, Aeneas orders a small band of men to follow him and help in the hunt. They sneak up on the herd and launch their instinctive attack. The herd runs. The Trojans pursue. A couple weaker deer fall behind. The Trojans hurl their spears. The hunt is over...
On their way back to the others, they happen upon a few buildings...


Aeneas sitting by a fire on the beach: I saw people and buildings over those hills. We should go and see if they will help us, if they are a peaceful people. But they may not be peaceful and might not want any visitors. We should try to be secretive as we observe the inhabitants.

Venus talking to her son, Aeneas, by the beach: Aeneas, I cannot talk long as your followers might see me. But, I will put a shroud of invisibility around you and a small group of your men so that you can investigate the city in safety.

Aeneas after observing the city: I saw many people bustling around the city. Many new buildings are being made. It seems to be a big and friendly city. We should be fine going to them for help and hospitality. I also saw the Queen of the city, which is called Carthage. The queen's name is Dido. I saw her coming our of her palace...



It seems that the Trojans will be at Carthage for awhile...whether they want to or not....they need time and help to rebuild and resupply...more on this in the next update...

Most people must not realize that Carthage is in Lybia/Algeria/Tunisia... But Egypt and Carthage do have similar surroundings minus the Nile, I guess that could be the reason why people are confused.

I realize that in the woodie screen that this is a desert, but perhaps you could build up some mountains and use a little less palms, make it look similar to The City of God. That would really clean up that screen, but those white supports would look odd if you did that...

so yeah.
