General Chat / Family Guy to Return in 2005

Although "Family Guy" has been off the air for 18 months, the cartoon is poised to make a comeback with 35 new episodes on Fox in 2005.

"It's a combination of the completely unexpected number of DVD sales, coupled with the success of the show on Cartoon Network," MacFarlane said. "It's something that all of us who worked on the show had kind of hoped for. It was kind of a pipe dream: 'Wouldn't it be great if the show had a life beyond cancellation … like Star Trek?' But we really did not predict it would be this big."

This is probably some of the best news that I have heard from TV in a long time. The show pushed the limits of TV and what could be said. So I'm glad to hear that it will be back on TV because I'm sick and tired of all the crap sitcoms and reality shows.

I heard this also, and I have to say I'm pumped. What a funny show. I have all the DVDs that are out and they are easily my most watched DVDs.

This is very good news. Family Guy is so funny and kicks ass. Can't wait to see this back on fox with new episodes. (yes i do watch the ones on cartoon network to. )

The SHOW is back!

Not suprising, really. It was a show that really needed to find its niche, and was never granted the chance. However, now that is has found its niche, it isn't suprising that Fox are going to want to cash in.

If a major corporation finds any chance to make money, it will take that chance, even if it means putting good shows (back) on the air!
