General Chat / If NE closed?

Well, with RCTHQ closed down ( ), the only RCT site left is NE (RCT2.com just aint for me). What would happen if NE was closed, where would we all flock to? Where would we show our parks? Where would the big names go? Would any body quit the game?

The question arised after a certain signature-quoted statement by the one bokti:

It made me think, if iris was to close NE, what would become of the rest of the community? I for one would not revert to RCT2.com, its just not my cup of tea to be honest, nothing against the site though, its a good set up and all. Would another site appear? I think the community would be better off if a secondary site was around.

well id imagine that almost everyone would go to RCT2.com, including me...but to be honest, i think someone should just take over if iris was to quit...

besides, i highly doubt the site would close. we just need more updates and news to keep us going...

I'm sure many people would start new sites... and the NE community would split. Most of the sites would fail, leaving at most two to carry on where NE left off.

I wish I had time to run a site, as I have the know-how and potential funding to do it. But I just don't have the time during school terms.

I'd be a bit disappointed at the loss of Spotlight. But that would eb the extent of it. For RCT I'd probably just go to RCT2.com and maybe some other small sites if there are any I enjoy.

Well I remeber being a Mod back at the station, all that time ago...When they closed I thought that was the end, NE was a side site for me until I realised the talent. This took over for the site I visited most then.

If NE closed I would probably keep building parks for the fun and hope that another site was being built or had been built so the parks I would be building could be sent in.

I would only hope someone would create a website to carry the spotlight and legacy that is New Element. I wouldn't resort to RCT2.com ever. I just dislike it all around the board. I mean, yeah. Gross.

At a last resort, I'd start my own damn website... okay, well, I'd need help, but you get the point. I really enjoy the game right now, and it'd be a shame to lose such a great website. But iris wouldn't do something like that without any type of warning ala RCT Station, I hope. Damnit voodoo, don't give him any ideas.

Iris can't keep this site up forever you know. He is only human and he has a life too. I don't think this site will be around in another few years. It costs money, and he is paying for it with his own money for everyone.

...I would get a job, make money, spend it all on a flight to Miami, hope iris' real last name is something like irsari (sp?), phone 411, tell them to get his address, get taxi, take it over there, and tourture him until he 'agrees' to open NE back up again. Of course, this is all fantasy, but I'd be very close to doing that.

What else can you do but move on? RCT isn't life, there are other ways to entertain yourself. No pun intended.

I like NE. Its a place where I can come and basically say anything I want and not get punished and while I'm at it I can see a whole bunch of great RCT talent. Its a double whammy for me. But if it closed...I'd just move on.

There'll always be a main fansite for this section of the community as long as this section of the community exists... I mean, we're the descendants of the Dani crew... and more likely than not, I'll work on all those sites, until RCT dies...

Sigh....I guess nobody here knows places like Thrillnetwork and RCTHub exist. I'm a member of both.

I'll jump off that bridge when I get to it.
