Park of the Year - can't decide. I like RoB more and more all the time... but I loved Euroscape as well. So I'm going to go for Escalante Falls.
Parkmaker of the Year - Butterfinger for me. Euroscape and his hi-rollers were brilliant imo.
Non-Parkmaker of the Year - cbass. Wisconsin... need I say more...
Worst member of the Year - well noone at NE, but when the station re-opened for the brief period that CoasterXtremist guy really fucked me off big time. What a wanker. -

That's nice of you to speak for everyone.RoB had oddly angled rooves, which is a big pet peeve in the RCT2 community
-
California Coasters Offline
I personally liked Rctfan's "Why do people hate me thread", pretty entertaining... lol. -
Outlaw Offline
I think all of turtleman's antics hold a momorable place here
I'll drink to that.

Park Of The Year: well, even though it's not been released yet, W.O.M.B. Mantis has brilliant parkmaking skills and a great taste in music.
Parkmaker of the Year: Coaster Ed. 2 letters, 2 numbers: H2H2.
non-Parkmaker of the Year: Kumba (the Miami one.)/John. Both of these guys have great skill in their parkmaking.
Worst Member of the Year: jon/fatkat61/panoramical/Doc/Metal/rctfan1556... Too jerky to choose. -

To me the defining moment of the year was Hi-Rollers. The parks produced in this competition were the best I have ever seen in any competition. Second would be H2H2...most because of Ed's contribution, but there were still many other great moments and match-ups.
Park of the Year: RoB
Parkmaker of the Year: Coaster Ed with SAC a close second
non-Parkmaker and worst member seem like silly categories to me.
Looking back, I think RCT2 made great strides in 2003 which really forced the LL parkmakers to raise their game and the level of detail they put in their parks. Yes there were some major retirements recently, but I think that the up and coming rct2 parkmakers will more than compensate for the loss of some of the big names. I'm looking for cBass, John, Voodoo and others to each produce a great park worthy of spotlight within the next year. We also have Park Wars, H2H3 and the ProTour to look forward to. Parks that should be released within the next year include Fatha's PoC, Corky's Disney Escape, something from Foozy (I'm crossing my fingers at least), W.O.M.B. by Mantis and of course IOA by me. I have a hunch we will hear from Pyro and Nate in the next year and word has it SAC is not done. I think Coaster Ed will do something to awe us as well, tho I have no idea where that mind will take us next. Of course there are the NE collabo's which are floundering (I will take my share of credit for that), but I am still committed to them tho time has been an issue. I'm looking forward to the development of the new wave of parkmakers who seem to be dominating the forums and have been very surprised at the quality of the ProTour qualifiers many of these new names have produced.
Anyway, enought rambling. Happy New Year and let's hope that NE keeps on going at it's present pace.
Finally, thanks Iris for giving our work a home and creating a site where the most creative of the RCT minds have a place to flourish. -

I think if LOS doesn't move soon, we might have to call back X to finish both maps off. It's getting ridiculous at the moment.
I'll do another area if it's needed.
I can't remember what parks were released this year, but Sea World Atlanta is definitely my pick. And Candlelight Times. That park rocks.
Battlefield RCT will endure all.
Lumbini Point and Escalante Falls made Hi Rollers the most important event of the year.
Coaster Ed, X-Sector and Ozone were the most influential parkmakers.
Cheers Iris for another year. Shoot those hoops (or something like that).

This thread is idiotic. So, naturally, I'm going to take-part.
The highlight of the year just had to be Turtleman threatening to kill himself. I've never laughed so much since the time I accidently ran over my grandmother's cat*.
Good times, good times.
Other than that, it would be the delightful typing stylings of the comic genius that is Guljam. When that guy wants to be funny, he really goes all-out, let me tell you.
As for worst memb... No, see, that's mean. I hate questions like that. It just ends up breeding resentment, and shit. I'm not going to answer that o[turtleman]ne.
Seriously, though, Turtleman, you know I love you (like I love a good, hard kick in the fucking nuts).
*Old-people sicken me. They're a constant reminder of the fact that life is nothing but a demeaning, soul-crushing struggle which strips of you of your humanity and leaves you hollow. They're fucking empty, dead-inside husks rife with illness and weakness and just waiting to be thrown into the ground and forgotten about. No spark, little enthusiasm, just a steady, numb, lifeless limp, a face that never smiles, fucking, pills and zimmerframes. Sould dead, body living, one crushed by modern living, the other kept alive by technology.
Reminds me of this one time I was hate-fucking this fat chick. There's something arousing about hate. Something desirably about violent, vicious sex. You can ask Adix this, and he will tell you all.
But you're wondering. Why do I hate Turtleman so fucking much.
He's fat. Motherfucker. I hate fat people. They remind me of when you kill someone, and their blood is splattered all over the walls, and you clean it up, but some fucker cop comes along with a UV light and exposes all that shit. Or the dull ache in your cock-a-doodle-doo-a-doodle-doo-a-doodle-doo after you jerk it three times in an hour. Or the mold that grows on old food.
They're a fucking diseased by-product of cars and TV and all the other shit that's wrong with the world. Rotton residue revealing our guilt and our weaknesses. The bastards.
Fuck you, Turtleman. I hope you walk along a bridge only to have it break apart under your gigantic feet.
Just kidding. You know I love you, buddy. I love you like I love being bit in the ass by a rattlesnake.
You're a walking manifestation of my guilt. Our guilt.
Happy new year, everyone. There's never been a better time to be alive and old and overweight. And let's drown our guilt with alkeyhol. -

thanks for banning Metal, irsi. now i have to see his moonshine drinking, pumpkin-fucking ass all over the Rush forums... thanks. no really, i mean it. i don't even know why you banned him, to be honest. it seems to me that you've lost all genuine care for New Element, only coming on to announce the new tri-monthly spotlight, and to announce the new shitty batch of runner-ups from n00b-a55 parkmakers. shut this bitch down. you were never as good as Danimator. -

I think perhaps it's just that your time in the rct community was at danimation. Now there's almost a new "generation" of parkmakers, so NE is bound to resemble something, that to you isn't, well, good. But to lots of other people it is, and it's obvious the effort that iris still puts in with the pro tour judging, runner up write ups, ne invitational, hi-rollers etc. -
