While you're still learning the ropes you should post bigger screens so you can get some advice... posting teaser screens won't get you anywhere, until you're one of the best.

You seem to be falling victim to the "Posting too many screens syndrome. My advice to you is to finish something before you take a screen, and don't put out THAT many, maybe 1 or 2 at a time, and not in such rapid succesion.

Anyways, find a theme, and stick to it. I would go against the suggestion of "look at spotlights", as that will make your work look very much like the spotlights. If you've ever heard the theory, "the less a person knows, the more unique their results," which is sometimes said about music, I would stick with that. Just do what you know, and see what looks good. It should turn out quite interesting.

It's definitely an improvement. Just get inspiration from your favorite RCT1 parks and try out the suggestions and you'll get better even more. It works for me.

Quite honestly, I find it very nice.
He surely has an original style and I find it extremly LL-ish and classical. That's probably what I like about it.
This could never be done in RCT2 that way and so all of you guys don't like it, I suppose.

TID, I find it very interesting. You need improvement, that's no question, but your basics look like you have talent and I really am curious what quality you might come up with if you stick to LL.

P.S.: "Project Milestone" is kind of a courageous name for a project when you're not too overly good at the game, don't you think?

I actually agree with Posix for once. I am starting to appreciatate rct more and the older styles.

Looks good imo.

I can sort of see where you guys are coming from with the whole "this looks good." Basically, people are sick of looking at really nice parks that have cool architechture and nice layouts. Thats why people that build like this are getting all of this praise. Basically, you would have an arguement if this park wasn't completely flat, had terribly random theming, shit architechture, and bare spaces that take up the majority of the screens. Nice try going back to basics and all, but this park does not do it for me at all, and it shows that you havn't put all that much work into it, as it has basically no detail. As for the people that like it, each to his own. Each to his own.

I have to agree with intamin on this one.....this park is mediocre if that....despite the praise received for its simplistic nature, I really think that the lack of detail and boring architecture & landscaping and lack of land height variations are the killers. I also think your dueler coaster could really be improved by first making it longer and second making the layout more interesting.....but by no means don't give up on this park and remember that these are merely my opinions.... ;)

It is one thing "going back to basics". If you want to go back to basics, look at parks like Woepsworld and The Hybris Mega Park. That is successful basic parkmaking, with mala-esque coasters and that cramped, business-like, themepark feel. Those parks have atmosphere. I don't mean to be nasty, but this park is not "going back to basics". This is "starting out at the basics", and can be improved no end by just adding more things. Look at real themeparks if you need inspiration. They don't have large open spaces, as they can't afford it. They need to fill up every bit of open space to make a profit. Whether this is through rides and attractions, or scenery and theming, everything serves a purpose.

And the shhh....i'm not telling screen. What aren't you telling? What is there to be told? It's a wooden dueler, which has been done and redone, and improved, and mastered by some. I believe you think very highly of yourself, and you are definitely overdoing the screens. Release some, every now and then. Just enough to keep people's interest. Not a screen of everything you make.

I agree with Turtle.
intamin101, what you call "really nice parks that have cool architechture and nice layouts" is what I call "RCT2 Wannabe mould".
It's just nice to see how his style has obviously had no NE influence at all. He's a virgin, so to speak. A baby. Or to use a more common expression, a "n00b". Now I really have nothing against n00bs. Only when they directly turn into wannabe's before releasing anything and rip off spotlights and stuff. He didn't do that.
It'd be no use to but alot of work into your first park because that's the time when you have to get used to the game and when playing around is sort of what you're supposed to do. It's bullshit to start with something serious right away since you first have to find your style and taste, set your basics and so on. Alot of people have forced themselves to be good right from the start. Of course they failed. The last I remember was Marshy.
So anyway, The Iron Dragon, have fun with the game and don't worry too much about the way how things look. Just make parks, enjoy yourself and don't advertise. People come to the Advertising District to see great screenshots. Only the experienced parkmakers are able to release those and you are, and I think you agree with me there, not quite the most experienced one, hm?

I'm alot better at RCT2.

You think that because all Rct2.com says is "Good Job and Awesome" all the fucking time. :|''''

Completely agreed. And people say I rush! jeez! How much time is this taking you!? 10 minutes? I agree with Spidy on how to get better: immitate!

That's essentialy what I had/have to do! (In RCT/LL)
