A: CDs, obviously.
Fact: an MP3 encoded at 192kbps is still about 4 times lower in quality than a CD! 4 TIMES! Why bother?
Q: "Why bother?" -
Jellybones Offline
because the difference in compression is still mostly undetectable, especially on crappy iPod headphones or my computer speakers. not to mention, 1/4 the quality for 1/10 the file size.
the real question is:
how do you like your eggs? -
Dixon Steele Offline
A: Personally? I think it's over-rated. Don't see the appeal in it.
Q: What would your last meal be? -
sacoasterfreak Offline
While your response is intelligent and well worded, you ignore an unmistakable fact. Marijuana is not NEARLY as intoxicating as alchohol. You've obviously never smoked pot.I would say no except for medical purposes only. I mean look at all the problems alchohol and cigarettes have caused in this country. Do you think its wise to add to that by allowing people to smoke marijauna legally?....no, it would only add to many problems already plaguing this country, such as increased drug-related deaths and lower productivity (and Americans are already accused of being lazy), not to mention several other negative effects that would become obvious once weed was legalized. The only positive that would come from legalization would be a boost in the economy, along with a sting to the tobacco industry. But still, I feel the cons out-weigh the pros when it comes to this topic.

What are your feelings on the death penalty?
Also - I think Bush is holding up the progress of science by threatening to veto the stem cell bill. That's just rediculous, they claim it is destroying human life but abortions are still legal .. and this is nothing like an abortion.

My favorite kind of bread is french bread. Fresh cooked, from my local grocery store in South Texas. I guess that makes it Texan Bread, but that doesn't change the fact that i will eat an entire loaf of it when it's warm.

Do you believe in God? If so - do you believe in evolution or not? Why or why not?
Personally, I believe in the presence of a deity, but I firmly believe in Evolution as the most obvious and unmistakable facts of nature, biology, and science in general, on our planet. -
Top Gun Offline
A: I believe in God and do not believe in evolution.
Here is why:
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1
Q: What is your favorite kind of pie? -

Apple

Do you think people at this would consider themself as gaming freaks or just people that like playing RCT? -
Jellybones Offline
what a terrible question. is that some emo poetry shit, or have you just been reading 1984 lately?
that's not my question.
my question is, how is the weather in your neck of the woods?
(here it's absolutely miserable, if you're wondering.) -
sacoasterfreak Offline
OMG Top Gun that was the weakest answer anybody could have ever given to that question. Almost made me sick. I guess you can't expect to find intellectuals everywhere.
--
The weather here is hot as hog shit on a hot plate, and about as humid as a 400 lb hooker's asscrack in mid-session.
(but it's GREAT weather to fire up the RR and take a ride to the river!!)
Have you come to terms with your own mortality? If so, how, and when? -
cg? Offline
A: Yes... I've never really not been with terms with my mortality, actually. I've seen enough horrible shit, and found myself in enough situations where I felt like I was going to die, or wanted to die, and been in enough contact with the spiritual world, to realise that I'm going to die, probably sooner than later, probably sooner than most people. Oh, well. What can you do?
Actually, I think that's part of the reason I'm so tough. I don't have any time to waste on anything which is even slightly less than THE GREATEST, MOST IMPORTANT, THING EVER! You all might, but I don't...
Q: What is "THE GREATEST, MOST IMPORTANT, THING EVER!"? -
Top Gun Offline
A: I would love to go on a safari and look at all the animals.
Q: Do you believe my answer to sacoasterfreaks question was weak. Why or Why Not. -
gymkid dude Offline
A: Yes, your answer was weak. The bible is meant for spiritual enrichment and spiritual truth, not scientific fact. Beleiving in evolution, I admit there is a chance that some other theory might be correct/more correct than the current one, and await scientific evidence to consider such theories. You, on the other hand, fail to even consider the fact that anything other than something written 2000 years ago might be right, no matter what evidence comes to light, etc.
Q: Do you think talking about religion on NE is stupid? -
deanosrs Offline
a: I personally think talking about religion anywhere at anytime is stupid. It's all about personal belief, and I could argue about it all my life, but at the end of the day we have no facts to base an opinion on.
q: how many languages do you speak? If only one do you feel ignorant? If more, how useful are your secondary languages? -
Stargazer Offline
One Langauge, English. My mind is not meant for more than one, while others seem to have the capability to speak maybe 4 or 5. I can imagine secondary languages could be very useful.
Q:
Loveless, yay or nay? -
Jellybones Offline
I only speak English fluently. I take Spanish in school but it's my worst subject and this is my last year of it and I don't have a real command of it, though I could hold a simple conversation with you. I know some Portuguese because around these parts is 85% Portuguese and you'd have to be an idiot not to speak any Portuguese here. But those 2 I don't know nearly enough of, so English is really my only fluent language. I'd like to learn more though, as yes, I do feel ignorant and closed in by only knowing one language fluently.
Do you have a dog? If yes, what breed?
