Something about being shipwrecked on an island. People always tend to read it .
Uhm, do you think Kumba has a good memory? -
Turtle Offline
If he does, it's lost on spelling. Although he's been better recently.
How old are you? -
mantis Offline
The second one does look nicer but i'd go with the first one in terms of value for money.
What do you think of Arpeggi? -
Jellybones Offline
I like it a lot, actually. I hope the album sounds that good--though I don't know if I can wait another year.
uh. How was your day? -
Evil WME Offline
Kind of like the post your day topic...
Uhm, i woke up at 6.40 does that say enough? then i took a bus at 7.30, got to school at 9.00 had this huge fucking bag that was hurting my back. I had to do chemistry all day, ok? experiments. we were done with the experiments at 1245 (early, even) and i had some lunch. which i had to buy, and that just sucks too. then i finished up the lab report thing, and we had to write down all the risks and safety measures of everything we touched (after the experiment, am i stupid or are they?) and then when i was done i took that motherload of a bag home, just sat there, msned some, one game of pes, then my friend talked to me and he was pissed from his chemistry experiments day, he was done at 5.45. So in the end i went over there, had some quick dinner with him, sat down in the last sun of the day, and worked out some after that. i was falling asleep at 8 pm, in a fitness room... *sigh* and now i just got home (at 9, tis now 9.24)
What a horrible day, and there's just a new one (chemistry experiments) waiting tommorrow, and hte day after, and friday, and thursday some other shit.

what do you think of the future and the possible implications of advanced technology seriously affecting our society? -
Magnus Offline
nice to see someone asking as serious question. (we talked about that topic 2 year ago in english lessons. )
I'm physician. means i like everything related to modern technologie. of cource it's pretty discussable whether cloning and genetic engineering are good or not.
i for myself think they both can be used in a good way. if it's possible to generate medicament against cancer or aids by genetic engeneering, we have to try this.
another point i want to mention is that i'm against wind power. nuclear power seems to be the better way, cause it seems to be cleanest way to get electric power.
we (our school) just visited a farm having a biomass power station. i think this is a perfeect example to show technical progress can be used in a very positive way.
all in all i'm for technical progres. it might change our society, but as long as it has a positive effect everything is fine.

should cannabis be allowed by law, cause it can be compared to alcohol and cigarettes? -
JKay Offline
I would say no except for medical purposes only. I mean look at all the problems alchohol and cigarettes have caused in this country. Do you think its wise to add to that by allowing people to smoke marijauna legally?....no, it would only add to many problems already plaguing this country, such as increased drug-related deaths and lower productivity (and Americans are already accused of being lazy), not to mention several other negative effects that would become obvious once weed was legalized. The only positive that would come from legalization would be a boost in the economy, along with a sting to the tobacco industry. But still, I feel the cons out-weigh the pros when it comes to this topic.

What are your feelings on the death penalty? -
deanosrs Offline
It's hypocritical - killing someone for killing is silly. Human time is the most valuable of all commodities we have, and destroying it is foolish. Furthermore, in countries where there is the death penalty it doesn't actually appear to reduce crime anyway.

q: In Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials, everyone in certain worlds has a daemon (well, everyone has them, but not everyone can see them). A daemon is an animal that represents your soul. As a child it can change and it settles form as part of your puberty. For instance, in the books most servants daemons are dogs because they're a symbol of loyalty. The question is - what would your daemon settle as and why? -

A: Some sort of feline, most likely. Why? I don't know... I've always had a greater understanding of, and connection to, them than any other sort of animal... homosapiens included...
Q: Do you like cats? -
Dixon Steele Offline
A: YES! They are my favourite animal! Especially kittens, so cute...
