there are a bunch of these freshmen indie kids/"scenesters" (mostly all girls) in my school that wear chucks. and i'm not into that whole wears-band-t-shirts/goes-to-"shows"-all-the-time scene. plus i think chuck taylors are kind of dumb looking and not all that comfortable. so fuck them. i just wear my old pair of Asics running shoes all the time, until i get a new pair, at which point my current training shoes become my everyday normal pair of shoes.
what is your preferred brand of athletic shoe? (sorry guys, i've got nothing here.) -
Annie Reckson Offline
See! Chucks are extremely comfortable, in warm weather (i.e, above sixty degrees, so I guess you're screwed anyway). Plus, they really do look good with most anything. I've worn my black Chucks to business interviews quite a few times (What? They're clean!), I have another friend who does the same. Yea yea, I get annoyed when all the mallcore brats wear them like they're the new thing. But umm...the coolest thing that's ever happened to me was I saw this like...75 year old man wearing some Chucks. He was like "I like your shoes" and I was like "I like yours too"
I guess I'm a scenester too. I'm such a trendsetter . But really, shows are great, Atl has a great local scene and most of the bands are really nice and just glad to have gas money. I've never gotten so much free stuff in my life (It's amazing what the merch a traveling band will give you for $20)
And! Back to the question! My athletic shoe of choice is Adidas! Just until, y'know, I can find a reasonably priced running shoe that was made in safer conditions for the workers. -

you say that as if i live on a glacier. a lot of the snow's melted, the cover varies between grass and 2 inches of hardpack now. and no snow is forecasted for a while, which is okay with me. the last storm missed us but dumped two feet of freshies on the NH and Maine mountains which is awesome, except that i never go to ski mountains any more.(i.e, above sixty degrees, so I guess you're screwed anyway)

You ever do drugs? -
Jellybones Offline
yes. smoked weed on maybe four or five occasions. haven't in a while though. its a nice feeling but not really that its all cracked up to be.
read any good books lately? -
Micool Offline
Yes actually, although they are not new books. I am in the process of re-reading the Harry Potter series in preparation for the 6th book, also known as ARMEGEDDON. Just imagine the release of book 7.
Hey, ever been in love? -
Jellybones Offline
that's a negative. true love waits.
ever used Sparknotes and/or Cliffnotes instead of actually reading a book for English class? -

Some retarded American thing... I guess...
Do you agree that NE is overly gay (unintentionally)...?
