I think it's cause I run it in windowed mode which already alters how it starts up. It's no biggie, I'm happy to play with the disk in -

Actually I would love to know how to play in windowed mode! Is there a thread on this? -

Posix, thanks again for doing these guides. Adix as well, he did a lot for the no-cd if I remember correctly. Helps so much when I feel like installing LL again years later. Went as far as making ISOs of my discs and copying all of your guides to text files in case NE ever disappears.

I did everything it says to do except that when I go to regedit I don't see "Fish Technology Group" where it's supposed to be. Any ideas?

Bill, what are you trying to do? There's like 4 different things that people in this thread have been trying to accomplish.

I was attempting to do the No CD thing but went with the GOG version instead. So nevermind that...

Cool hack, it will be a lot more useful now being able to have LL of the disk. I was expecting a much harder registry hack the way you were going, but its actually really easy, and if you ever needed to change it back, just reset the value to the drive letter that was previously there mine was 'G:\'.
You really don't need to worry about the registry much, I always see people saying that the registry is a deep and scary place when it really is not, Basically as long as you don't delete and change random keys/values, your going to be fine.
Ive been playing around with the registry for a while now, and as long as you backup the key or create a system restore point, theres nothing to be worried about.
