...........Walt Disney's Disneyland Wisconsin.........
................... Official news thread...........................

11.7.03
Kenosha,Wisconsin
Construction on WDDW has officialy began. This park will be located in Kenosha,Wisconsin, WDDW is considering a hotel although this is still being considerd and hasn't left the drawing boards.
Anyways, WDHA will be located right next to one of Lake Michigans beaches where guests can come and layout on the beach after a long day of walking around WDHA.

Now onto to WDHA it's self, This massive 100 acer park(100x100) will be Wisconsins 1st disney park. Also when guests enter the entrance plaza area there will be a cheese store where guests can buy some of Wisconsin's famous cheeses.
The lands will be,

Main Street This area will began after the entrance is done. The train station for entrance will also be the entrance for Main street.
;)

Frontier land: Guests can take an adventure through this western cowboy and mineing type area and ride the popular Big Thunder Mountain Railway but with a new layout, and a huge mountain. But thats all for now we don't want to give everything away. ;)

Future Land: Yes this is Tommarow Land but disney decided to give this land a new name since it is already at WDW. This area is still being planned , so no news on this area yet, but Space mountain will make it's apperance here.

Adventure World- This is what gives our park it's name ;). This area is still being planned , so no news on this area yet.

Toon World No Disney has never forgoten about the wee ones. This area is still being planned , so no news on this area yet.

Those are the areas and as you can see not much has came out from Disney yet as this park is still very new and not much has been done. More news to come soon as it comes in.

Some constructive criticism.

First, make the entrance gates inside one of those tunnels under the train station. It looks weird to have the park entrance right at the map edge.

Second, make the lower half of the Mickey face either white or flesh colored. All black looks odd (just my opinion).

Third, spruce up the flowers around the Mickey head, not sure how, just take another look.

Fourth, make that water feature in the entrance lake into a "Hidden Mickey". Disney is notorious for sneaking in that lil' devil wherever they can. Make sure to keep that in mind throughtout the park. A lot of people are probably not aware that I put 73 Hidden Mickeys into DTA (I listed them in an archive file too, so anyone who thinks they've found them all, this is a challenge from me to you.)

Fifth and finally, you might want to reconsider the small castle rounded walls. Maybe just solid qtr. tile round walls for those entrance buildings.

Anyway, keep on working at it. And I cannot stress this enough.....TONS OF DETAIL. That's not to say tons of stuff, just really pay attention to every little thing that you put on a building, and this park will shine.

It does look like you have a solid and original beginning to this baby. Congrats.

1.I'll see what i can do but i had to put it ehre because the stupid guest wern't coming into the map.

2.Well i didn't want to copy your mickey head so i made that.

3. Well the flowers i made that way because, Main Street comes 1st and the entrance i want to also to stick to the Hometown theme which is USA.

4.Ok I will see if i can do that. 73 mickey heads?! Hmm maybe i'll look for them in TA. Nice Challange. ;)

5th. Castle walls? What castle walls? I didn't use any. ???

Thanx for the suggustions. I will see if i can get them in. Also does anyone know what i am using for the 1st time in a park of mine? and no it isn't new scenery. ;)

First the 73 Mickey heads, and now the new element in rctfan's design. You guys should start your own puzzle book.

Seriously, I like the new screen a lot better. A few minor touches, though:

1. I agree with Meretrix. Move the entrances under the train station, in the tunnel. Keep the entrance path on the island, though - those canvas walkways over the water are a nice touch.
2. I'm not sure about those dark green hedges surrounding the paths. They just look too dense, contrasting with the light feel of the rest of the screen. Maybe it's me that's dense.
3. That train track is a bit high in relation to the rest of the buildings. You could set it back one square and put a lower level in front, so that peeps can still see the train from the entrance plaza but it's not superimposed on the buildings below. Take this with a grain of salt, though. I'm really not sure if that would be better.

Not the best, but better than your last Disney.

Panic: Hmm a puzzel book? That would be funny, yet cool. I'm still suprised about the 73 mickey heads in one park. :0

1.Ok i'll try moving the entrance gates. Thanx for the comment on the canvas walkway.
2.I based my entrance off of WDW but with my own twists and they used lots of hedges.
3.Again i based mine off of the entrance at wdw. Here is the pic i studyed along with others before i built this. Click Here
But i'll see how it looks moving it down one.

\/\/ee/\/\an:Those are links. Noticed there underlined. Just one click and you'll be able to see them. I didn't put them as images becasue there 800x600(the normal screenshot size) or a little smaller and i heard those are too big for NE forums.

Thanx for the comments and suggustions. They'll really help me alot.

Ok, now that I see that, forget about the train thing. Good job as it is.

The hedges are fine, too.
• Hyperion%s's Photo
Good start to it so far, but what I would recommend is putting more detail into those side buildings, other than that it looks realistic. Finish it.

It's a nice start. Really spacious and simple, good luck.

I like those bushes, but I don't like the abstract roofs on the entrance and exit

If the Mickey Head is elevated, how can guests see it from the ground?

Just a thought

I know it's on a slope in the real parks, and it's tough to put scenery like that on a slope in RCT2, but still....

looks good so far. Make sure when you nstart building the real park to really mix up colors and different walls to get that very busy colorful atmosphere. This part looks promising tho.

Oh i will don't you worry. ;)

See i am basing my entrance off of DLR and WDW's so i need pics of Main Street's train station, front and back. The back was hard as hell to find. But i found it and here it is(this is at wdw.) I heard it change but i will be basing mine off this pic but with my own twists. ;) After that my own buildings all the way but with disney feel to them.
