The site was popluar at first but never the same...I think it was just time to move on for Red and the community. He had other things going on.

I don't see why I should have to show him respect. I once had a lot of admiration for him, but a lot of that went when he closed it the first time without giving ANY warning. It went completely when he repeated that foolish, unfair, and totally out of order method of closure. I don't think that he understood how many members had important information stored on those boards. Even if it were a day or two, he SHOULD have given some warning. He did not, henceforth, I refuse to show any respect for him whatsoever at this stage in time.

Respect? As Doc said already, this guy shut down the site with no explanation one time, let alone twice! He used to be a nice guy, and I actually helped him out with relaying news on the site's return and gave him some direction on PHP links (although he probably went somewhere else too).

When the site reopened and I was unbanned, the guy acted like a complete dick to me for no reason; no reason except to show how great he was.

The guy deserves no respect from me.

I don't open my open my mouth very often, but this shit is making me fucking sick. Mick, when are you, Red, and Robbins going to stop jerking each other off? Red doesn't deserve respect from me. I was a mod at the Station for 3-5 months. I wasn't given the job because he liked me or he respected me. He gave me the job because I knew over half of the mods at the time, and they gave me a referal. Red never respected me even after he gave me the damn job. You wouldn't believe how many times I tried to have a civilized conversation with the man, and he just blew me the fuck off.

By the time th site closed the first time, I resented the site as a whole after seing the inner workings of it in the Moderators' forum, but I did the fucking job I was given, and I waded through the bullshit daily. For him. Then he closes the bitch, without telling me, reopens it, without telling me, and replaces my job, without telling me or even bothering to ask me if I wanted it back or at least telling me to fuck off.

And the site? Its glory ended with 2001. Before the closure, Red had so little content, he was posting random video game news and shit about the lives of his fuck buddies (I'm looking at you, Mick.) Contests were boring and the judges didn't even play the fucking games anymore. Red saw how well spotlight type contests worked, so he introduced his own. I don't think anyone was surprised when Mike Robbins won the first one...

Red wasn't the only staff member who was a corrupt little bastard, the whole staff was fucking evil. They would make their point in a debate and then close the topic so nobody could respond, or worse yet, reopen the topic and close it after they were done. They would close topics because they didn't like the person who started it. When I call them out on this in the Mod Forum, they played innocent and Red looked the other way. After my job was taken from me, I called them out again in the Site Discussion forum, and they fucking closed it without even answering my questions. They would pin their own topics so everyone could read them. Shit, they had their own forum to advertise their parks so it wouldn't get lost with the others. Red might not have liked these things, but he certainly didnt do anything about it. Hell, even Kai quit after events in the staff pissed him off. Do you know how much it takes to piss off Kai?

I can't understand how you actually believe the shit your spouting off. You can't have not seen it going on, you were one of the main contributors. It makes me sick how you can just sit there and think that all the times you were an asshole were the best of times and praise yourself and Red as gods. Respect him? Give me a reason why I should even be mature enough to not tell him to fuck off plainly to his face. Is it because he ran a large site? He was simply one of the lucky few to survive out of the millions of RCT sites that have existed. That's like saying I should respect you because you were lucky enough to not get splattered on the shower wall with thousands of your siblings. The content? There wasn't any near the end. The atmosphere? The mods were unfriendly, the members were worse, and nobody could say anything. You can remember the Station in your diluted, extacy-induced view of the place all you want, but stop forcing that shit on us.

^^True. You make a good argument. The Station was kind of on a decline. However, it still is the end of one of the most prominent RCT websites. We shouldn't exactly be glad that it's gone.

I will respect no one that just quits with no warning! RCTX, a club that has since vanished, was a part of the new Station. It's forums were moved from RCT2 forums to the station for who knows what reason. At any rate. anybody that decides to set up shop as a website, has a responsibility to its public to keep it informed of what is happening. If not, respect is tossed out the window. Sorry Red, but you suck in my opinion.

Ah yes... Rct Station. I remember joining back in August 2001. I remember the days where ever single topic posted was a exciting new thing to look at. I remember how friendly and helpful all the members were. The contests, the strong memories, it was wonderful. This was my first forum. My first online community experience. Right away I wanted to be a moderator. So I set my goal. After about a year, Red finally let me become a mod. I was so excited then! I literally pranced around the room. As a mod, I did the usual things. I cleaned up shit, closed topics, etc. There was one time, very late at night, were I was practically the only mod on. Of coarse, a huge amount of spammers attacked. I worked for hours cleaning up their shit, but I don't remember getting any credit from Red or any other mods. So, I was kinda pissed. Then Red started having retarded fits, complaining about his personal life, his foot surgery or whatever, in the staff forum. He was getting annoying. He then made me do all this unnessesary crap, which wasn't even a mod's job. I then met swimfan. *laughs* Of coarse I was attracted to her fake pic so I pretended to date her and such hoping I was gonna' get some webcam action. She then also had retarded fits and kept talking to me about suicide and crap like that. She got annoying so I told her off. I was pissed, posted at the station, and said a few "bad" words, and got banned. That pissed me off natuarlly. So then I sent about 25 emails to Red saying to bring me back, and I helped so much as a mod, shit like that. He didn't acknowledge anything like usual, and cussed me out. That son-of-a-bitch. So I came here. And the same thing happened.. But you all know that. In conclusion..............Red sucks..

Guys I am sorry. I am not here to make enemies or to have people hate me. I just don't see why we can't all get along. It is just a game and there are more important things in life then RCT and the Station. I am not trying to spread propaganda to anyone here. I love this place just as much as the next person. I love playing RCT and this has given me an opportunity to make more friends throughout the entire world. I have an affinity for the Station because that is where my RCT was born, don't hate me because I was from there originally.

I personally emailed Red and said I thought it was pretty shitty how things were going and if he were to shut the station down again that would suck. I still have respect for him and all of you because it is just a game and making friends is more important to me.

In slightly less angry terms, I agree with you MA. I think it would have been at least courteous to tell all the people who had been mods there (and of course all the bloody members) that he was going to shut it...the fact that it just disappeared one day kinda sucked.

I guess we all move on.
