Alright, lookin good, very good.
Firstly, leave the flat roof, it looks fine.
Ive noticed that you are using a lot of different flower colors throughout the park, but they all work well to good job with that
Overhangs look good, very western-y.
---
I have to say though, I know what the animation is like on that smoke and........ummmmm get rid of it please.
Lastly, I hate circle windows. -

Today's update is brought to you by Rain. Yes. Rain. We love it, so do flowers.
Anywho, construction is complete on the only other ride in Ghost Town, a first-generation Intamin FreeFall ride. The name of the ride is High Noon. With the completion of HN, only one more small section is left before the next phase of the park begins. Check back later tonight for news on that.
For now, i'm off to help out a fellow Park Owner, who is in need of some engineering help (hacks).
Until then, enjoy the picture.
Some stats for ya'll...
Exc: 5.87 (High)
Int. 3.67 (Medium)
Nau. 1.58 (low)
Top Speed: 43MPH
Height of Drop: 49 Feet
Vert. G's: 3

The ride itself looks very simple, but the themeing surrounding it adds to the experience ao much.
I don't quite understand how it works though. Does the train get launched up or pulled up the vertical spike and then does it just go up that smooth descent to cruise backwards into the station?
I guess its not a "Thrill Ride." EVen so, its the small rides that make a park. Good Job.
By the way, really cool name. -

Ride duration:
On the regular Open ride type, the train is already at the top of the ride. The peeps enter, and somehow hop in to the top. Once it's full, the ride free falls 49 feet into the brake run. When it reaches the end, it slighty goes up, and falls back down through the track (which in real life moves), and gently re-enters the station. It's weird, it works, the end. LOL (hope that didn't sound mean) -

Nice. I've been waiting for someone to do a proper Intamin 1st Gen. for a while. I'd try for a runner-up with this (unless it's under 120X120).
The details and the atmosphere are great. One problem though: Doesn't knotts have more than one themed area? Lets see something other than western, PLEASE .

LOL, I know that man, I've been tons of times. I'm just a slow builder (for a couple reasons). The next area is the Indian Village (name will probably change), then Camp Snoopy, Wild Wilderness (which could/most likely will be a mix with Indian, which has already started with AMBUSH!), then some secret plans... hehe. One problem though: Doesn't knotts have more than one themed area? Anywho, thanks for the comments.
Same goes for you Dan and Gymkid, really appreciate them.
As for another update: Ghost Town is officially completed! ^_^ I should have a screen of that tomorrow. I've also finished a big chunk of empty at the bottom left (right before the woodie). That may change before I finish it, so no screen(s) of that, since it's nothing too great (just an observatory on a twisting mountain).
Expect another screen update tomorrow.

That Intamin freefall is so cool! I've seen much people trying to build one, butt yours is really one of the best ever. Awesome ride...
The rest of the park is looking great too. It has really such a nice Knotts-feeling. Good job -

I'm not sure whether to like or dislike this park Brent.
You've definitly used alot of original ideas, but the park just doesn't grab me. Its all to bland. One thing i definitly appreciate is your use of floral features (gardens). The colors you have used go well with the somewhat monochromatic color scheme you've used. The buildings are decent, but arn't fabulous - still they look nice. The most eyecatching thing is the Intamin 1st Gen. Freefall, It definitly looks spectacular.
Overall, i think you've created a park of mediocrity, with a few sparks of originality here and there; but its just not enough to be truley special...
Keep up the hard work... -

And you're expecting buildings that wow you from the days of western civilization/cowboys & indian fights why....? They didn't have buildings that were out of this world, they had buildings that got the job done, at best, without being glitzy or anything like that.I'm not sure whether to like or dislike this park Brent.

Why don't people get that? :::
Anywho, haven't worked on it much lately, since I've been busy with Finals stuff. Heck, I'm not even 50 miles within my computer. Yup, I'm at my dad's for the weekend, and for the week, so I won't be able to work on it for awhile.
Good thing is, I'm going to Knott's Berry Farm on Sunday to get some ideas for the park, and to take some pix for reference, so that should help me out with speeding the park up a bit.
That's all for now though.
A-buh-bye. -

I understand the basis perfectly well.

I also realise that old "out west" buildings were designed only to be functional, but that doesn't mean your buildings have to be square blocks of functional wall and roof.
Buildings in that era of time, and in that part of America had a very distinct colonial feel, but were jazzed up with pitched rooves, balconies, and fairly pleasent designs.
The buildings in KAA just don't capture that feel... -

I haven't been home to be able to work on it as of late. I'll be getting home tomorrow afternoon, with an update hopefully by the end of the week.
