General Chat / Three Random Facts About Yourself.

1) I can play racquet sports with either hand. I usually serve with my left and play with my right, but sometimes switch when the ball is out of reach on my backhand.

2) Celebrating my 15th anniversary today (tho we're not 'officially' married). We decided to pick the day we moved in together.

3) I love East Indian food

1) I am 13 and have gotten a score of 950 on the SAT

2) I have a contact prescription of - 1.5 in the leaft eye and -2.0 in the right.(though my eyes need a much stronger prescription but i cant see the eye doctor yet he is filled up)

3) I suck at RCT2(lol)

1. Played second base/right field in Varsity Baseball 2 years in high school
2. Have astigmatism
3. Used to be terrified of any inverting amusement park ride

Cool. I alwaysd wanted to play second base but Baseball was never a popular sport so I never found a full team to play with where we would actually have somebody play second base. That and I can't hit worth a damn. So I played Soccer (basically every position but goalie which I would have loved to try sometime) and Basketball (which I'm decent at so long as I'm not on any kind of team that matters). That's cool though that you played second base. Maybe I should post 3 facts about me but I want to be clever and creative all the time and I just can't think of anything clever or creative to say about myself. I'll try:

1] One of my dreams is to one day learn Iaido swordfighting from a master swordsman. If anyone hear knows anything about Iaido swordfighting -- or any style of Kendo really -- there will be no end to the pestering questions I'll ask you.

2] Funk music is the soundtrack of my life. If only I could play it better. Alas, I have clumsy, undisciplined fingers. (and I'm secretly embarassed about using words like alas but I can't help myself. they just sound good)

3] Upon careful consideration of religious teachings and my own personal philosophical musings I've come to the rather embarassing conclusion that I just might be the anti-christ.

Ed - Mr Bean (if you know who he is over in that country there...) does Kendo. Well, he did it for a couple of weeks before being chucked out for nearly killing someone.

Whoa, cool!  HOw fast do you throw and what pitches do you know? 

Actually, I don't even know how fast I throw...the pitching coach won't tell us...probably high 70s maybe low 80s...

I throw:
A two seam fastball (across the seams)
A four seam fastball (for the good ol' up and in)
A changup
A cutter/cut fastball (used to be my best pitch)
A curve ball (one of my weaker pitches, but improving)
and a Sinker (my favorite and probably best pitch)

I know knuckleball, split-finger, and circle change but dont throw them...

A funny pitching story for ya...not funny at the time tho...it was sophomore year on JV, windy cold, rainy...but enough excuses...I hit three batters back-to back-to back...all in the knee...then I proceeded to walk three straight...thats gotta be a record of some sort doesnt it? LOL...as you can guess, I love throwing inside...and I'm proud to report that I didnt hit anyone last year, first year on Varsity...

In conclusion...being a closer is awesome but I cant wait to be a starter this year...

1. I play the drums, and was in a band called Winston this past year. We "broke up" since we are all going to different universities now, but we plan on doing some band reunion jams when we see each other over Christmas break.

2. Some people think I look like the lead singer from Sum41, or Tintin, despite the fact that I am 6'2.

3. I use to be a germophobe (sp?) when I was little. I had to always wash my hands after everything I did, and got worried about the smalled aches, since I thought I was getting some strange disease. Oddly, I grew out of it, but I think I am a better person now for it.

(2) I plan on trying out for (and making) Spirit of JSU Drum and Bugle Corps [DCI]
(3) I will get to be the F Horn Line section leader next year (as a Junior)... I think we'll have... 8-10 horns...
