General Chat / Greatest Console Multiplayer

Every Friday at school we get to play Nintendo in art class because it somewhat relates to art. Anyway it was because my friend brought in his SNES to draw one day and it all went from there.

The point is, since my school is one of the only schools in the county that's open (the state issued some air quality advisement for the week) and my art teacher thinks we shouldn't be there, we played a full hour of Mario Kart 64 today. I know it doesn't sound that great, but when you're in the final stretch of school it's sooooo sweet. Unfortunately since Mario Kart is such an experience it seemed like 5 minutes. I would have won the last race (the beach...Koopa Troopa Beach? I dunno) but I missed the tunnel shortcut on the final lap! Goddammit! So I settled for second. That was cool since only the two last places were giving up their controllers. Unfortunately my friend picked Rainbow Road for the next race so we never finished.

I <3 Mario Kart.

AND we're watching The Princess Bride in Art tommorow. I only take two classes at my High School so tommorow should be a relatively sweet day. I need to find me a costume though. People sometimes don't give candy to non-costumed teens.

Yeah. I love Halo. But IMO its not as good in multiplayer as many other games.

But my certain favourite is Timesplitters 2, Virus is total fucking madness!

NO! Not the rainbow coloured track, big jump and land mines. I still have nightmares of trying to beat that on Master difficulty.

1. Mario Kart Double Dash (GC)
- Absolutely ridiculous. A MUST HAVE!!!!!I own it already, and so should everyone with a 'Cube.

2. GoldenEye (N64)
- Does this need explaining?

3. SOCOM:US Navy SEALS (PS2)
- The best online multiplayer game in existence...(until Halo 2 that is)

4. Halo (XBOX)
- I hate FPSs, but this game is endless hours of fun with friends.

5. Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
- You can't tell me you don't love beating the living fuck out of someone with Kirby or Pikachu?

6. Super Mario Kart 64 (N64)
- Again, another Kart game makes the list, and for good measure.

7. Gauntlet-Dark Legacy (Multi-Platform/Arcade)
- This game and most Gauntlet games, are always a blast with friends.

8. Mario Party (N64)
- The first Mario Party has the best minigames. Who doesn't love 360ing the analog stick and getting blisters?

9. WWF Wrestlefest (Arcade)
- This is the best wrestling game ever made. Damn shame it never made it to consoles.

10. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- Turtles in Time (Arcade)
- Fuck the console versions, the arcade version of this game was the best of the Konami License series for multiplayer action. This was a touhg choice between the Simpsons and X-Men.


There are THE BEST multiplayer games of all time thus far. Trust me when I tell you, the #1 spot is definitely deserved and you will see why soon enough...

For multiplayer i have a different opinion

Shox for ps2---I have one of those multitabs, the great thing is about this game is that you have four of you and your mates, and 2 computer opponents, and the game includes rally mini's and porsches, so in the end its you and your mates against the mini's

Goldeneye for N64---Shame I always died first.

Midnight club 2--For 2 player, unlocking everything in arcade is fun, with the rocket launchers and machine guns.
