I've seen relatively few 'scary' movies cos I don't like them.
So 'Dark Water' is the scariest film i've seen. I hated it. Freaked me out. -

The exorcist is a good scary movie, a lot of my friends say that the ring was scarier, but i think it wasnt at all. another scary movie that i like is blair witch 2, it also wasnt overly scary, but a fun movie to watch. -

Umm.. I'd say 28 Days Later is pretty up there.
Closely followed by Seven and Darkness Falls. Good ones, they are. -

I'm with mantis... I see very few scary movies because I jump to much and I hate the sight of blood and gore. The scariest movie I've ever seen was Signs. It wasn't that it was overly scary, just the idea behind it, and all that fun stuff. I have to put the TV to go to sleep no or else every sound in my house sounds like an alien walking up the stairs getting ready to rape me...shiver...

Anything that has to do with a live man killing someone doesn't bother me, like freddy vs jason, the holloween movies, and texas chainsaw killer... Aliens scare the freaking crap out of me, cause no one really knows if there real or not, and if they are if they are after death and destruction or peace. If anyone has some proof on Aliens let me know.I have to put the TV to go to sleep no or else every sound in my house sounds like an alien walking up the stairs getting ready to rape me...shiver...
as homoish as it is, same here, signs scared me more than The ring did... only scary thing about the ring was the faces on the poeple that chick killed. -

The first time I saw the original Nightmare on Elm Street (before it became a parody of itself), it scared the living hell out of me. The way Freddy used to act (menacing without the cartoony attitude) was genuinely freaky, and the way that he killed that girl Tina was one of the scariest death scenes in film history. -

I thought the first Nightmare on Elm Street was scary not watched it for ages. Its was and still is an awesome storyline but by 3 and 4 he was a ment to be a funnyman it all got rather silly. God knows how they made a sick child killer into a comerdy figure.
Shining is pretty scary Channel 4 had a pool on this last night and shining was voted number one scariest film. -

Have anybode here read IT by stephen king? I think the book was scary but in the end the story fucked up and it turned into a sience-fiction book or something. anyway, someone made a movie of this book, and I have not seen it but I would like to, because when there was a creepy scene in the book I did see the whole thing in my mind and those was fucking creepy. one reason is that the "IT" mostly is a
Clown.
they are f u c k i n g creepy. for some reason. somebod who have seen it? -

Im not trying to sound like some hardass mantis or anything but i havny seen one film that truely scared me. Ive seen plenty that wer so twisted they kinda freaked me out. But I aint watched one film thats caused me to lose sleep. I also think some films that are met to be sacry or actually piss funny. Scream and the Exocist are prime example.
