Isn't it great that Laker fans still think they are going to be in the finals? I thought they learned thier lesson last year. Webber comes back tomorrow, which marks the beginning of the end for every other team in the NBA. Clippers are victim number 1. -

I'll take that bet Cork. Not immediately, but by the end of the season the Kings will be better with Webber than they were without him. Not in terms of the record (which has far too many other variables to be a good representation) but in terms of their ability to win games in the playoffs. If you look at the Kings' record over stretches of time without it's starters it's almost always better without them than with them for some strange reason. Probably because the record evens out more over a long period of time. The Kings are getting drilled inside without Chris and Brad though. Brad gets the rebounds and the assists but he's nowhere near as effective as a post-up scorer as Chris is. Conventional wisdom is that a strong interior threat will open up shooters even more. Defenders are going to have to choose which to defend - Peja or Chris - and they're screwed either way. Oh yeah, and unlike the Lakers, our guys work together. Chris led the team in assists last year.
Chris Webber helped build this team. He'll be fine. The biggest difference from last year is that now we have a guy (Brad Miller) who plays like a Valde Divac who's ten years younger. How could they be worse? -

Kings are scary. But it seems like every year people say this is gonna be their year, yet they choke in the playoffs.
Lakers should be healthy come playoff time, which, IMO, makes them the scariest out of the big 4 in the west. -

Yeah, the Kings still have problems with consistency offensively and defensively. When they're on, they're unstoppable. The trick is to find a way to be on all the time though and they haven't gotten there yet. Luckily, neither has anybody else and this is why there's no clear leader. It looked like it might be the Lakers at the beginning of the season but that was a long time ago. Do they still have it? It remains to be seen. -

If Webb doesn't go down with a serious knee injury, then the Kings would have won last year, and most analists will tell you that. Although most of the blame goes on Adelman for not putting in Divac when he should have.
I watched a bit of webb and miller practicing today, they work very well together. The Clippers better be ready. -

Aero I think most people were commited to the Spurs last year. A LOT of people, although I didn't necessarily agree, said that the winner of the Lakers-Spurs series was the NBA champion. -

The Rockets will pwn the Lakers tommorrow night. Again.
You tell em. Cork and I both know the Lakers dont want the Rockets in the 1st round of the playoffs.
As for Shaq, lets just say that he is now inferior to Yao Ming. People said it would take years, it only took one. -

So. The Kings lost to the Jazz. Jazz. Wow.
But I have to give Atlanta credit but they wouldn't of won if Kobe was their . -

WE FINALLY BEAT HOUSTON!!!
That game was littered with uncalled fouls. Not that I mind... 3 point shooting saved our ass. And defense too. -

Hard loss to the Lakers, great win over Minnesota. Ill make a bold prediction....
Either the Rockets or the Grizzlies will upset one of the Big 5 in the west in Round 1.
