Not sure how many people here really follow college football but was curious to find out some people's opinions on who they think will end up in the Sugar Bowl this year. Personally, I'm an OU fan and seeing as they are just comming off of a 65-13 slaughter of Texas Im starting to like their chances of running it this year. Other than that with all the upsets this years its a tough call. I really don't think Miami has what it takes to go all the way. I do however like Virginia Tech's chances. I think they can give Miami a run for their money at home and if they get past that they should be in good shape to go all the way.
If thoes teams happen to catch a upset in the season like an unusual number of teams have then it moves to one of thoes that took theirs earlier in the year. USC and Washington State come to mind as teams who should be 6-0 right now, and should the top three fall both could easily be vying for a spot in the National Championship. Right now though I'm leaning twoards/pulling for a OU v Virginia Tech. -

Heh, I hardly post at NE, or anywhere at that matter anymore, but what the hell...
For one, college football is better than pro, period.
Yes, OU will win the Sugar Bowl
Yes, VT will win against Miami
No, you stupid buckeye fans, OSU will no go to the Sugar bowl
Ron Zook for Florida has to be the stupidest coach in the SEC
Clemson and LSU have the same fight song, same stadium name, and the same name... Clemson Tigers LSU Tigers
Texas should fire Brown
And to top it off, Northern Ill. should get to go to a big bowl game -

No, Texas better keep Brown. If it weren't for him Stoops wouldn't be making Texas look like shit every year. It wouldn't have mattered in 1999 or this year but thoes middle two OU has won could have gone either way, and might have gone the other way if it weren't for the fact that Stoops is the best coach in college football now. -

Go VT, yea, but I highly doubt we'd be able to break OU's defense if we play them. First I was worried about our defense, now that's fine, now our QB, Bryan Randall didnt look too sharp for the first time this season, but hey, it won't be permanent.
Hopefully.
Also, I'm expecting a Iowa upset over OSU (or what not). -

*fight song*
Okay, now for things you care about...hrm...
Va. Tech has always annoyed me, I dunno why. As long as it's not Arkansas I don't really care, but my grandparents live near Florida State so I was pulling for them last Saturday. I guess it's not really meant to be though. I think Pitt is a good sleeper pick. They have a good all around team, and can beat Miami, Oklahoma, OSU or Va. Tech on any good day.

OU will be in there, unless they lose to OSU again. They seem to be making a habit out of that.
If USC wants to get in, their best chance is having OU lose to OSU, since Va Tech and Miami will have to play each other, thus eliminating another undefeated.
Of course, if 'SC wins out, I'll be happy. -

USC all the way. Step mom went there, went to their game against BYU, fell in love. S. C. -

I went to the SDSU game against them and that was pathetic.
Maybe we should schedule them on a Sunday next year. -

I believe that OU will beat OSU because OSU is missing their main quarterback this year(people are so stupid these days!). Also,I believe that all-in-all, OU has a better team. Personally, I am from Raleigh, NC and like NCSU, but we all know that wont happen.

OU's had the better team for the past three years and has still lost (at least two of them).
Heck, OU's ALWAYS had the better team... (note: that's overgeneralization for all of you who can't interpret sarcasm and humor). -

Oklahoma State (OSU) will beat OU again... they are 5-1 and number 23. They're getting better with each game.
Though, it will be OU and Miami in the big game. -

How can it be OU vs Miami in the Sugar Bowl if you say OSU will win Saturday?Oklahoma State (OSU) will beat OU again... they are 5-1 and number 23. They're getting better with each game.

I think OU could get in with one loss.

Thats some interesting logic... number 23 is getting better with each game so they will beat number one who is running a four game streak of 50+ point games, have a quaterback who is leading the Heisman Polls, and just finished smashing their number 11 ranked rival 65-13. The last two years have been flukes again OU teams who can't compare to the one taking the field this year. This is definintly the best team Stoops has coached in his career at OU, and I think they will be able to get past OSU this year.Oklahoma State (OSU) will beat OU again... they are 5-1 and number 23. They're getting better with each game.
