it seems kind of wierd that this will not be your typical disney park but i think it will turn out great

since you aren't going to include any mountain rides at this park, you better have something up your sleeve!

I dunno what the deal with this I'm a parkmaker so I can advertise without screens  crap is but I dont think its fair... n00bs get in trouble for this, but parkmaker get away with it just cause they have a member title and page to themselves.

To be fair, he posted a simple announcement about the park a few days ago and that topic was closed.

This time, he has screens... technically.

If I posted a bare construction picture, I wouldn't get flamed. So neither should Meretrix. Although you should have at least put in a press release. Sheesh! :p

I dont really like the tree variation for some reason, I think it looks plain...
  • John%s's Photo
Um... I don't really like it at all, sans the sorceror hat, which is awesome.

The path is just downright disgusting... lol And like sfgadv02 said, the tree variation is rather odd. I also am not fond of the flowers you have going, I prefer the RCT flowers...
  • Micool%s's Photo
Why...with those trees, it almost looks like RCT! :D

The paths are a bit much, though.
  • Outlaw%s's Photo
Definitely change the flowers. The paths don't really bother me that much, but those flowers!

The Entrance Fountain has been revised! Thanks for all the feedback on fixing what could have been a disaster.

Cheers, and enjoy the new entrance.

Screens will unfortunately be few and far between, as the Disney Company is trying to keep several of the newer components of this park a secret. This much is known however. The only Fantasyland attractions that make an appearance in this new park are Peter Pan's Adventure (different than any other Peter Pan attraction), and a variation on Snow White's Scary Adventures.
A brand new attraction (based on the famous segment from Fantasia "Night on Bald Mountain") will be making it's astonishing debut at Phantasia Theme Park and Resort. Also look for the Sorcerer Resort at this new Walt Disney enterprise.

Finally, two new thrill rides, never before seen in any Disney park will be gracing the landscape at Phantasia, both based on two very infamous Disney Villains.

Press releases will follow as construction progresses...

    Until next time.....

    ....keep on searching for your...laughing?....place.

The new version kicks ass. Much better path choice, along with a more-fitting entrance area. That hat is also really amazing, did you make it yourself?

Well, I'm glad you're learning the art of controlled advertising, Meretrix. Although I can't help but think that you're copying me... 8@ :p

You have a park named "Phantasia." Bald Mountain better by the highlight of your park! IMO, it has to be the main "weenie." It should basically be the castle of your park.

Wasn't the film called 'Fantasia'? Anyway, it's one of my favourites, so this park had better live up to it :D If you DO make Bare Mountain, then i'm gonna love you, cos I played that in orchestra and it's so much fun!

It'd be cool to see the centaur/cherub theme as well :) And the dinosaurs (but i'd assume that would be a must anyway :D). And the suite! Like, vTd's Bay of Fantasia but magnified! aww, those mushrooms are so cute!

And that new entrance looks really nice - quite scary too :0 The buildings are simple but effective, and for once those blue/green 1/4 tile trees enhance the theme, rather than looking shit. Good path layout, nifty sorceror's hat, it's all looking very atmospheric. And i'll be able to SEE this one, rather than just looking at screens! Yay!
  • Kevin%s's Photo
heh. I like the hat on on the fountain. Adds a new "Fantasia" feeling to the park. I still hate the paths though.

    Kraken :et:

Yes, the paths are still hideous. They gray color with that texture looks terrible, like it was thrown together in 5 minutes. IMO the classy regular crazy-stone path would look fine. But that's just me...
  • Meretrix%s's Photo
While I certainly appreciate the feedback, I must say that the crazy grey paths are staying. When the park is done, you will all agree (or you won't, I don't care). It adds to the dark atmosphere that this park encompasses. I have acquiessed with the flowers, and with the other path type (which in hind sight was disgusting), but the path MUST be grey in the entrance plaza. Anyway, look for some new and interesting screens next weekend. I won't have time to post anything before then.

    Cheers.
  • Blitz%s's Photo
    screw them, the grey works.
anyway, i'm with corky and mantis: being this is phantasia, it had better live up to it ;)
by the way... when phantasia first came out, it was a flop, and nobody went to see it. Funny eh?
The reason was that the general public did not have any enthusiasm for classical music.

After recovering what could have been a tragedy, The Walt Disney Company is pleased to present a picture of the Phantasia Carousel, located in the Volks Platz at the front of the park. After a "testy" run in with a new technology (UCES), which nearly destroyed this park's construction plans, the company is happy to report that all problems have been fixed, and the resort is back on track.

The link in the first post will take you to the magic.

    'Phantasia Carousel' :X
    Looks Realistic!

What happened with UCES? I'd like to know before I install it.
  • Meretrix%s's Photo
Sometimes, in the past, when I have installed corrupt scenery, it has frozen the intro of the game and not let me even run it. The loading bar would flicker very fast and not load anything. Basically a Ctrl, Alt, Delete moment.

UCES did the EXACT same thing. So, I figured I'd just load the scenarios, and let the object importer read each scenario independently(since it kind of does that anyway). No dice, same thing happened.

I tried to uninstall, it was unsuccessful. I had to manually remove each item that was in the download (then re-install scenery which had been overwritten in the initial install).

    Too much trouble.
