Um... yeah.
I really, really don't like it. lol
In the first screenshot, the brick wall texture is WAY overused. The red texture stands out too much. The blue roof colors is hideous.
In the second screenshot it looks okay, but I don't like the symmetry. It gets too dull and repetitive.
So there's my take on this so far. -

With every screen you show I'm more and more sure that you are my favorite RCT2 parkmaker. I have more fun looking at your work than I have looking at anybody else's. You have that spirit of exploration and unlimited possibility that I remember from the old days of RCT. I don't really want to give you any advice because what you come up with on your own is always interesting. Most of the screens you've posted have a very traditional look to them though and I hope you haven't given up on those creative themes. The traditional stuff is nice, and certainly you should build whatever you want, but I'd also like to see some more theme oriented work from you if you were so inclined. The creative themes were one of my favorite qualities of Fantastic Wonders. -

I am not surprised. I don;t really like it. I am just surprised that John managed to post without insulting somebody.Um... yeah.

LMAO. Just because I don't like you doesn't mean I hate everyone.
...
Anyway, with the very differing opinions (Ed's and mine) I guess TC's style really IS a hit-or-miss style. Moreso than Butter's. -
Coaster Ed Offline
Indeed. The best work should be hit or miss though I think. You're not taking enough chances I'd say if there aren't at least a few people out there who don't like it. No one is right or wrong here, we just have different opinions and different criteria for what we like and don't like. Only in this case, of course, I'm right. -

That's so cool! It's a coca-cola store, and it looks like a coke can! How cool is that?! Hehe, I get too excited over things like that :::
I'm a fan of those 1/4 tile patterns you have round the towers on the second screen too - they're kind of like what you had in your previous screens (were they of 'jubilee'?)
It'd be cool to see you developing what you have in your own way, because the only person I can think that builds like you in rct2 is aero. So yes, do what you want, because I don't think you should change it. If you recapture the coolness (for want of a better word) of roboworld/the big garden theme, that'd be brilliant. -

Ok, I just wrote a huge paragraph explaining my opinions, but it somehow got deleted.
So I'll just sum up my points:
- I don't like it.
- Too much brick. I don't like how you have huge buildings everywhere, which have no connection. Not physical, but they just don't seem to flow from on to the other.
- All you parks since Fantastic Wonders have been a huge letdown. AW was original, and exciting, and simply new. Huge hit simply because it was something nobody had seen before. Right now, you are resorting to almost copy that feel (imo) and it's not working cause it is no longer new. Try a new direction in parkmaking.
Like mentioned before though, definitely hit or miss. -

The architecture is way too bright. Tone down the colors and it will look better. -

Umm..boooooo again.
Show some creativity, Timmay. Do something with balls, like the Garden thing or RoboWorld. -

What are you talking about? He's the most creative RCT2 parkmaker here. This looks nothing like the other parks in the Ad. District. I'm sorry to snap at you, I'm just really in a bad mood right now. The damn Red Sox spoiled my weekend and it looks like they might spoil my week too. I just don't have a sense of humor about anything right now and what you said annoyed me. -
thorpedo Offline
It doesn't look like anything else in the AD..but it looks almost exactly like the cancelled projects before it. I want improvement! -
Coaster Ed Offline
I suspect what you mean by that is that you want him to start building like everyone else and that's exactly what he shouldn't do. Well I can't speak for Mr. Cross, but I think his style is perfect just the way it is and he should build however he wants to. -
thorpedo Offline
I know that his style is unique and everything...but this is NOTHING compared to the themes and creativity that I saw in Fantastic Wonders. That was gold. This...isn't.
He's already a master of atmosphere, and thats good and everything, but it needs to be a little different sometimes. -

Okay, thanks everyone for the comments, even though some of them were a bit negative.
Coaster Ed- I LOVE YOU! Come over here so I can kiss you on the forehead! Really though, you're a hell of an intelligent guy and I respect your opinion greatly. Thorpedo, he's right, I am being creative. These two buildings may be similar in style to my past screens but you can't honestly tell me you think they look almost exactly the same. You should really get your eyes checked.
Um, yeah, so, I'll tone down the colors a bit and make some minor improvements. I'm sticking with this park because believe it or not, I like it. I also believe once people see it in full, it may change their opinions.
Thanks again for the comments Jon, Mantis, Coaster Wizard, everyone! I appreciate all your opinions and if everyone just said "Looks good, keep it up" then that wouldn't help someone improve. I think though, with future screens, some of you MAY change your opinions.
