Wow. Thanks for at least considering and keeping in mind what I had to say. I understand where you are coming from, I guess I can't be happy with everything you do.gir - Quite the contrary, this building has taken HOURS to finalize and get detailed, still isn't completely finished. Not necessarily as random as you make it out to be, 'detail' is (IMO) completely different from 'random', everything is choreographed to accent and accentuate pieces of the building. Like I said, there are elements of symmetry in there, but as the building gets higher, the symmetry turns into towers, balconies, and the like. I respect your opinion, but feel like you are overanalyzing the building and not 'looking at the whole picture'. Symmetry and simplicity aren't always best, granted there is a happy medium, I don't necessarily like it. For this type of theme, structures WILL be complex and WILL have lots of detail, sorry if you aren't interested, but I like how this has turned out, detail and all.

I dunno, I have some mixed feelings on this park,
The first screen I liked, I thought it was a good, solid screen. The second was okay, had some crowdedness but that seemed to be the only problem. Now this screen...well I don't know. There seems to be way too many 1x1 towers for just one building, and I just don't really like the looks of it. -

Hello.
Fuck what everyone else thinks...
If you like it, that's all that truly matters in the end.
The only thing I would say to "try" is add some more smaller bushes.
Otherwise you both know I love your work together and individually.
I can't wait to preview this!!!!!

geez, what the fuck do you all have against me? John's a good friend of mine, and I volunteered to aid him in the construction of this park. There's no denying he's on a much higher level than me, but funny, I don't see him complaining. This a fair joint project between both of us, me and John agreed to that. I will be contributing most of the landscaping, theming, a bit of the architecture, and some of the rides. However, even John admits his work cannot have been this good if I had not been there to give good constructive criticism and supply the supporting ideas behind the park. I ask you all to refrain from John's "choice in partner" until you have seen what I can do.
Thank you. -

This has been blown out of proportion. None of you have seen his work and therefore cannot properly judge him. Atlantis Reborn is about skill growth for the both of us, beneficial in architecture and theming departments... wait until you see a person's work before judging them, it works alot better that way. Furthermore, I would hope that you all know that I have good judgement with choosing my partner... now if I were to choose say, rctfan, then I'd deserve comments like that. lol
Edit: To ride6, it is all in good fun, if anyone takes NE seriously 100% of the time, all of us would be pissed off... -

Would you quit ragging on rctfan? He isn't desirving of this nastyness. Anyhow i love what this park has going and i figure it this way: John is one kick ass coaster builder and his coasters are good. His landscaping is over treed to the point that you can't see all the effort put in to the jagged-rock work. I see that isn't being a problem here... Also i have no idea how either of you are at theming but i figure that one of you is the better and will help the other out. That is the whole point of doing a group park.

its lookes ugly and cluttered, no variation in color, no aesthetic value, way to much happening in one small area -

The way i see it, three people come out of this argument looking good.
1) John - made some nice points, just comes over as a generally nice, good natured, modest individual.
2) sircursealot - Took it all on the chin, took no offence, replied in a mature manner, and i respect him for that.
3) rctfan - Never thought i'd say it, but i respect him for taking no offence here. Just keep on going, no matter what everyone else thinks. Good man.
This is what NE should be, mature argument. I love it.
On to the park, from what i've seen, it looks great. Detail maketh the park. Keep going. -

I know. I wasn't that angry. I just find it wierd that they rag on you so much. I guess that's fine though. Hell rag on me too, just not in a literal way (meaning do it in fun not insult).
Now i must say RCTfan isn't terrable, he just needs to develope a bit more.

It's UPDATE time!!!!!!! I know you're all soooo happy.
After taking a lil' break (went to Cleveland for the weekend), work started back up on Atlantis Reborn. I have made a (IMO) very nice floorless coaster which I am planning on naming Dominion of Cleito... for those of you who don't know, Cleito was the mortal wife of Posiedon, the patron deity of Atlantis. She gave birth to the first king of Atlantis, Atlas.
Anyway, here is a photo of part of a seafood restaurant directly after the entrance. I should have some photos of the coaster today sometime.

One thing I would suggest is to point your rocks towards the buildings. Looks cleaner that way.
I think one thing you have down is the colors. The colors are almost an evolved A:LE. NeViS's colors were awesome but I think the yellow was used to much and the green was unneccesary. This is more of a conservitave park, since it's an actual park...though it's completely crazy.
P.S. Good stacking of objects on buildings. That's the way to go. -

The last screen looks good an all, but I think all the greenery detracts from the building. IMO quater tile flowers would be better suited compared to some of the full tile trees. The big bushy one in the bottom centre and the tall one in the square with the egyptian column in should both go, and be replaced with flowers and debris. I dont realy like the balconies with the flowers and bushes on them either, they change the look from a balcony, to an overgrown, thing. (but if thats the look your going for then kudos)
All that aside, its looking good. Still not as solid as I would prefer, but its your park so keep it how you want. Keep it up. -

I like the way it all seems overgrown - the bushes inside those arches etc.
I agree on that rock, though.
Great work!
