This 100x100 park is a joint SDI project between me and John. Yes, it's another Atlantis park, but with a modern twist on it. It will use modern architectural ideas and technologies, but the "classic" Atlantis type architecture will still be here, providing an ambient mixture.
Since John is one of the best RCT2 architects around, he will be doing around 90% of all buildings. I will be doing pretty much all landscaping, and theming and coasters will be divided amongst ourselves. Using our combined strengths, we will aim for great runner-up park, that will showcase just some of the talent SDI has.
I'll leave you here with a nice little teaser, from John.Attached Images

Edit:
I relize that my last post was full of sarcastic bullshit, so I'm back to make it better.
All club shit beside I do like what you have done although it isn't the most amazing thing I've seen in a bit, however that doesnt mean that it is bad.
The colors go well and the architecture is simple and nice.
I would have perfered that the screen be complete for the clubs sake, because as of now this picture seems as if it was just another change to put "SDI Presents:". However I don't think it is. curse was just excited about this park John and him were doing and wanted to get some screens out. Thats all.
So next time, get a more complete screen guys and give the club a better name.
Thanks. -

ahh
From what I have seen this look like a great atlantis park so far. Almost looks like my atlantis park but this is better. -

Well, it is a teaser.I cannot compete with the skills of which this arch was made.
Fucking amazing. -

i think johns other stuff is way better than this. I mean, its an archy. It's good, but nothing to go crazy over.
I'm sure some actual buildings in the park will be a lot better...and yes, i know its just a teaser. -

Here's my take on this.
NeViS built ALE. That basically ended the chaos of Atlantis type parks in rct1, as not many people dared test the strengths of his park.
Now, it's starting to seem like everyone saw twisters's rct2 atlantis park, and the amazing stuff he could do with it in rct2, so now everyone wants to do one.
And since their's a limit you can go on the same subject...they're all starting to look the same....
IDK. Call me a hypocrite for making a altantis rct1 park, but I really wish some people would get orginal ideas. And no, this whole 'modern' architecture doesn't count in my book. -

Thanks for all the comments guys! This is a completed screen, it may not be big, but its purpose is to announce the park first of all and give you a look at all the high quality that will be the standard for the park. Anyway, John has it now (as I am working on Survivor), but I will receive it in about a week, when it will really get going. Stay tuned. -

Okay, here's a screen of a little bit of what you can look forward to from Atlantis: Reborn...
And we are not trying to compete with Nevis or twister, I have been wanting to do this type of park for quite some time, just so happens we started during this Atlantis boom. Furthermore, not quite sure if you can classify twister's work as amazing. It was okay, no doubt, but no where near 'amazing'.
To Thorp: Well, if you haven't noticed, tree selection and the like are not my strong suit (I SUCK AT TREE SELECTION) , therefore sircurse will carry with that type of stuff. Me being the architect. -

Shiiiit. That's incredible. Its not much, but that screen certainly speaks for itself and for you as a parkmaker, John. Great colors, detail that is unmatchable.
HOWEVER, the theming to the bottom could be muuuch better..Sorry, it just looks really unrealistic and messy. Work on that.
But everything else looks amazing. -

I still don't like it. Again, the ivy/vines kill it, however I'm not liking the actual design either. -

The fact that this is group park has nothing to do with this, rather I see it becoming more a problem at NewElment.
But, gir what makes you say you don't like it. If you are going to critique a park you have to give some reasons or you just look like some fool who is flinging shit all over.
I just wanted this to be a little heads up before you are ostracized from the community. Don't get me wrong, you've got everyright to be sagacious but, once again, back it up with stuff.
Eighty-six the habit and you'll be on the tracks to a good life at NewElement.
Anyways, enough of that.

I do have to agree with gir however on the ivy, it simply does not fit with the park. It gives it an uncomplete feel and really screws the whole theme over.
It is probably just me but I see Atlantis parks being more gelid than this. It has never been done before and I would be interested to see what the outcome of such a different type of Atlantis theme would be.
But John, I swear your parks have more twee than a $1200 hat. It is insane. Just be careful and don't take it over board.
Best of luck with the park. -

Right. I believe you pointed out the 'ivy' that he said, though his 'design' statement he could have elaborated on. Still, he gave a reason, so i don't see what the problem is.
Anyways, the park looks interesting. It feels more roman/atlantis rather than greek/atlantis, which is kind of appealing. I do not like the trees though, those tall skinny ones don't cut it for me for some reason....
And the ivy is a nice touch imo, just don't overuse it.... -

The second screen is too chaotic for my taste. But it looks like a lot of effort went into it. -

Wow...I dont like it.
1. Tree selection blows
2. The abstract fences look fugly
3. The metal fence in the middle is bad
4. Looks too messy and cluttered
