Hello.
I am rock hard when it comes to movies, except the following...
1. What Dreams May Come- this was the saddest movie I have ever seen in my life. I was in tears for about half of the movie, no kidding. If you don't believe me, seriously see it.
2. Pay It Forward- such a great movie, then the ending...I wanted to shoot myself. WHY?!?!?!?!
3. Swimming- I am HUGE Lauren Ambrose (she played Ann Bwoman in Psycho Beach Party and is the daughter on Six Feet Under) fan. What I am not a fan of is what happens to her in this amazing film.
4. Love Liza- This is the most depressing movie ever made, especially if you have lost someone close to you.
Titanic was laughable...

Green Mile, anyone?
When the huge black guy (forget his name) gets executed. -

The only time I remember crying in a theater was at the end of The Green Mile but not when the guy gets executed, it was the last line of the movie that got to me. I think that has more to do with where I was in my life at that time. I don't think I actually cried while watching it, but The Elephant Man is a heavy movie and I certainly felt emotional because of it. Those two stand out in my mind. -

I cry at everything. Shit, even commercials can make me cry now. Wasn't a problem when I was younger, but the older I get the more things get to me. Maybe it has something to do with having more life experience to connect things with. Anyway, 'Life as a House' made me blubbering idiot even tho it wasn't the greatest of movies. Just too similar to when my wife's dad died from cancer.
Surprisingly I didn't cry at Schindler's List or Life is Beautiful. Found those stories disturbing, yet uplifting at the same time.
Fish called Wanda made me laugh so hard I cried the first time I saw it.
Oh yeah, I thought the ending of Titanic was a laughable. Definitely didn't make me cry. It brought back memories of when I was a kid and went to E.T. with my mom. She got the giggles when E.T. was dying and getting all the medical attention and embarrassed the hell out of me. I see the humor in the situation now tho. -

The only movie that truly got me emotional was Amistad, because it was a true story, I guess. But I still didn't cry. I'm a monotonous, emotionless bastard like that. -

Man on the Moon at his funeral and they're showing the previous recording he did of that "Thank You for this Friendly Friendly World" thing. -

That movie with that big retarded bully who hung out with the little deformed kid, he made fun of him for a while and then made friends with him and then started protecting him.
I forgot the fucking name, but at the end when the kid dies I was damn close to tears. -

Has anyone seen "Cobb"?
If I hadn't been terrified of Tommy Lee Jones I might have cried.
--- Simon Fisher? I think you're thinking of Simon Birch, which isn't what he's thinking about. I don't remember that name either though.
edit again: It's called The Mighty -

The Mighty? Hah! The only thing worse than the book was the movie. Besides, if you couldn't figure out from the beginning that the screwed-up midget was gonna die, then you're oblivious anyhow. -

what dreams may come - already mentioned
pay it forward - already mentioned
grave of the fireflies - absolutely despairing... (its about what happened in japan after the nuclear attacks)
metropolis - the part at the end when the robot gives the kid some salvaged remains of the girl (don't ask)
6th sense - the part right before, and right after he figured it all out, but ESPECIALLY when Osment was talking about his grandmother to the mother.
my girl - I remember this now... sad at that part. -

Oh yeah, since you mentioned Grave of the Fireflies, the movie Jin-Roh didn't make me cry but I wanted to shoot myself afterwards. I don't think I've seen a more depressing movie. -
