I dont watch the music videos nemore. Whenever there on, I turn the channel. Never said I watch it. Thats what VH1 and MTV2 are for. I do watch some of the other shows, though.
Sorry, Deno for offending you. I mean, its MY least favorite list, not yours, dont get pissed of at me for not liking them. Or maybe I just took that the wrong way. -

Alphabetical Order:
Top 5? That's it?
Crap...
Sorry, I can't pick just 5 bands from the list of things I listen to.
If you want about 7-10, I might be able to pull it off...

I'll give you more Radiohead, just for kicks...in chronological order, so you can chronicle their ascent into madness:Andrew and Qotsa- thank you for proving one point. No one in this world is the same.
Qotsa-I will have to admit that out of your list I don't know all of the bands but am willing value your Opinion, and give them a try. (as you can tell I like a lot of different types of rock music).
Tool and sublime kick major ass and are honorable mentions to add to my list. As for radiohead I know that I know some of their stuff but I can't think of it off the top of my head.
could you please point give me some of the best titles of the groups in your list so that I can check them out. Thanks
Creep
My Iron Lung
Fake Plastic Trees
Street Spirit
Paranoid Android []
Karma Police
Optimistic
How to Disappear Completely
Idioteque
I Might Be Wrong
Knives Out
There There
2+2=5
Where I End And You Begin
That was way too many songs. I hope you have high-speed internet...or you just don't listen to me.
Anyway, for the other bands I listed, Guster is sort of an indie-rock/pop set. Their new CD is more traditional in style and structure, but their older stuff was two guitars and a bongo set. Now that's cool. Especially from Boston's shithole of a scene. Moozak:
Fa Fa
Barrel of a Gun
Amsterdam
Diane
Two at a Time
And now, Beck. To say Beck is unclassifiable is to say the sky is blue. I guess he's best known as a lo-fi, fuzzed out AM radio white boy hip hip. LFFOAMRWB rap for short. But he's got something for everyone somewhere, really. And his new CD is just stripped down acoustic singer-songwriter wishy washy stuff. It's so sweet.
Loser
Devil's Haircut
Jack-Ass
The New Pollution
Where It's At
Mixed Bizness
Sexx Laws
Lost Cause (said acoustic thing)
The Golden Age
And that is all. N-joy. -

Aaah! Who put Flogging Molly before me?
Anyway... of the big bands...
-Flogging Molly - Very unique sound and since I'm obsessed with watching Irish dance, I love the punk mixed in.
-The Calling - "Camino Palmiero" is one of the few albums where I love every song.
-Blink-182 - Say what you want. I don't care. I'm not a hardcore music fan and I know what I like. True the immature thing got old but they're shedding that. Everyone download "Action" from their new album.
-The Aquabats - Hooray for old dudes in Uniforms playing ska punk.
-Matchbox 20 - One of the best sounds I've ever heard. They've had 2 top quality albums over the year and Unwell has been at the top of the charts for months now. It's no wonder, they have an amazing sound, an amazing voice, and one amazing band. -

I've never been one to make lists without lengthy explanation, so here goes:
1. Radiohead - I became obsessed at the beginning of this year when I FINALLY bought OK Computer. Now I own all of their CDs except for Amnesiac and that's on my want list. OK Computer is the album I play over and over again but I love The Bends, Pablo Honey (yes it's worth buying!), Hail to the Thief, and Kid A almost as much. Idioteque is probably my favorite song from them. But before this year my favorite band was...
2. Smashing Pumpkins - No longer a band but the music lives on. Siamese Dream is still my favorite album of all time. Billy Corgan may not be a "good" singer, but he's certainly unique and that just adds to the appeal for me. Great layered guitar melodies are the key. They did some interesting stuff later in their career (I know I'm in the minority here, but I think Adore is a masterpiece), but it's the earlier albums that have the real Pumpkins sound that I can't get enough of.
3. Dinosaur Jr. - I blundered upon this band looking around allmusicguide.com and boy am I glad I did. The band never became mainstream and exchanged members a lot over the years but J Mascis' emotionally expressive guitar playing was constant throughout. I admit I'm ignorant of all things classic rock, there's a generation gap there, but when I want to hear some amazing guitar solo work, I turn to Dinosaur Jr.
4. Kyuss - I was skeptical of Queens of the Stone Age until I saw them live and was totally blown away. You have to see them play live, it totally changed my opinion of their music. That led me back into Josh Homme's former band Kyuss and my ears have been happier ever since. Very melodic guitar work throughout.
5. Dave Matthews Band - It was in ninth grade that I unsuspectingly picked up a copy of Crash at the recomendation of a friend. DMB has this way of getting under your skin like a virus. If you like one CD, sonner or later you'll own them all. I don't know if it's the music or the vocal delivery that keeps me coming back, but whatever it is I like it. I like it a lot. -

Well actually I made that list before I was quiet as much into industrial music. Now I'm into Ministry,
Rammstein!Heres my list (In some cases it was hard to pick just one, so I picked two!):
1. Rammstein- Addicting almost techno like beats and belching german vocals, make this band awesome (Favorite Song: "Spiel Mit Mir")
2. KMFDM- An awesome mixture of techno and Industrial. (Favorite Songs: "Like a Prayer" and "The Mortal Kombat Theme Song".)
3. System of A down- Their strange music fits my strange tastes. (Favorite Song: "Darts")
4. Celldweller- a lesser known industrial band that knows just the right way to mix Industrial and Rave. (Favorite Song: "Stay with Me")
5. The Jimmi Hendrix Experience- (Jimmi Hendrix is one of the greatest innovators of modern rock. How can you not like Jimmi Hendrix?) (Favorite Songs- "Hey Joe" and "If Six was Nine")
And the rest (in no particular order)......80's Metallica, Pantera, Anthrax, Megadeth, and Rancid
~Dragon ~
KMFDM!
You forgot Ministry!
Rock On \w/
Front Line Assembly, Megaherz, and a German band thats not really industrial, yet still worth mention, In Extremo.
So yeah, I never really have been to crazy for indsustrial bands like VNV Nation and Skinny Puppy.
I guess its just to electronic for me. Well anyway new list:
1. Rammstein- Theres a reason they are still number 1, because they consistently put out music that has a sound like no other. (Favorite song: still "Spiel Mit Mir")
2. KMFDM- Same sorta thing as what I said with Rammstein. (Favorite songs: "Anarchy" and "Like a Prayer")
3. In Extremo- New addition to the list. They know how to mix folk instruments and metal instruments in the just right way. Their songs get kinda repetitive, but it just makes the beat ever more addictive. (Favorite song: "Pferdesegen")
4. Ministry- One of the most amazing of industrial bands. The music is like no other. Simply one of a kind. (Favorite song: Can't pick 1 or 2)
5. Front Line Assembly: An amazing band somewhat similar to Ministry, but somehow totally different. (Favorite Song: "Plasticity")
Honorable mentions: Jimi Hendrix, System of a Down, 80's Mettalica, Rancid, Megaherz, and Celldweller -

Here's mine again...
1. Radiohead
I saw them playing 2+2=5 live....on Jonathan Ross on TV It was mesmerising. Hail To The Thief is perhaps my favourite, but OK Computer and Kid A and The Bends and Amnesiac are just as good. If that made sense.
2. The Flaming Lips
This is what I call feel-good. They are the definition of feel-good. Fight Test would make me feel happy even if I was about to die. Perhaps.
3. The Darkness
Hype schmype. They rock.
4. Daft Punk
I've been listening to homework a lot too recently, and HBFS is still my favourite track...ever.
5. I dunno. Lots.
