(Archive) Advertising District / Drought River Oasis

Hello.


I am doing another mini park to get practice for a difficult task I will be doing in my Atlantis themed park. This park will mostly be parctice for buildings and architecture. Anyways on with the park. It will be a tropical paradise along the coast of mexico. Along with this relaxing environment will be a wounderful sight of some of my trademark waterfalls. I love those things. It will have one wooden coaster. and a few flat rides. I promise you that this park will turn out to be a beautiful oasis.


I have one screen to show you. It is of the entrance area. While most of it is complete, I will definately add one or two more buildings in their. You might get a glimpse of the waterfalls which flow rapidly down the cliffs of Drought River Oasis.



It is not much but I just wanted to get this park of its feet and get a topic started about it.

i like it but theres too many rapids in the waterfall bit so just get rid of some of them and it be cool.

i dont really like the flowers and some of the trees(pink flowers??) u have used but other than that it looks pretty good

Well, i think there are too many quarter tile rapids in there, the pink is a bit bad too, oh, and try some proper architecture instead of using quarter tile pieces everywhere.

Looks nice, but I agree with what Marshy said......

Too many quarter tiles used and the pink flowers clash with the color scheme you are trying to accomplish.

Relax the pink and remove some of those quater tile rapids... otherwise it looks pretty damn good. Oh yes make some real archy. That flat open spot there is the PERFECT canidate to completly or almost completly cover with ONE building. Don't fall into the pit of 2by2s...

The screen looks fairly decent. Maybe too many 1/4 tile roofs but whatever....

There... that's off my chest.

The rapids are interesting....again, maybe too many 1/4 tiles. Have a second look at it....I'm sure you'll find the right solution.

Why? I think it looks cool the way it is...

i do too, and i like the pink.
Go easy on the rapids though, son.

I don't think it is really any better but here is a more recent pic of the entry palza.


It is part of the queue line for the parks wooden coaster, Canyon Runner.

There is just so much going on in that last pic. It's not that bad.....just blamo

Get rid of the flames. Make the flowers more than just yellow.
