Obviously alot of parks lost power, most likely: SFDL, SFNE, SFGAdv, Coney Island, Cedar Point... and so on. And, I've heard reports that over 50 million people are without power making it the largest power outage in the U.S.'s history. Not "just" another California rolling blackout or your average storm blackout.
How in the fuck can anyone say that they would want a terrorist attack just for fucking Bush to be proven wrong is just beyond me. That's the saddest and most pathetic thing I've heard someone say in a long time. Christ, even if you don't like the God damn president who cares? God damn. -

It's bigger in that it covers a larger area, but it was only out half the day, and yet everybody freaked out. If it weren't for the large area, it woul have no bussiness getting the nation-wide news coverage that it got.
Um, no. This is much bigger.Bah get used to it. California gets those all the time. Nothing to freak out about.

Even if it were just one damn block of NY buildings it'd be all over the news because everyone turns into a fucking puss all of a sudden cause of the damn terrorist shit. -

On another note, you think all those wacky terrorists are pissing themselves laughing right now? -

I'm sure they're still laughing about the fact that NASA officials had to annouce that the shuttle crash wasn't terrorist related. Pesky terrorists hiding in the upper atmosphere...On another note, you think all those wacky terrorists are pissing themselves laughing right now?

As far as I know, some places are still without power. I live just east of Cleveland and was without power from 4pm til midnight... thats a pretty big chunk of a day if you ask me.It's bigger in that it covers a larger area, but it was only out half the day, and yet everybody freaked out. If it weren't for the large area, it woul have no bussiness getting the nation-wide news coverage that it got.

Power outages are common but not of this size. Something really went wrong to lose that much power at once. Maybe it's good though when these things happen. When the apparatus of civilization breaks down for a few hours we're remind of how fragile we really are. I haven't been watching the news so I'm wondering why there would be so many people walking in the streets. I guess no power means gas pumps are down too is that it? Or no lights in the tunnels and no subways? I guess over here in LA it doesn't occur to me how important public transportation is in cities like NYC. -

Try like all of new york, ok?This was mainly New York City...but it was also about 17 million other people, chief.
Well, around 4:15 pm yesterday the power went off, then about 2 minutes later it went back on for about 30 seconds, then it went off for good. Boy was it BORING without any power what so ever. Well, around 4 am this morning power was up and running. All tho my power company isn't running at 100% yet, but they expect to be at 100% by midday. -

Yes! I am back!
I was stuck on the NYC's subway train when I was traveling to Times Square. It was so scary! -

I got power back @ around 10 up here in Michigan....lost it at 11, got it back at 1. Most of my city doesn't have power, but we're lucky, we got it.
Although I find it funny that the US is going back and forth with Canada on what side of Niagra had the problem....lol. -

I heard of this, I couldn't believe how many cities and people were out on the streets. They said cell phones were jammed.
Say you dont have money for the pay phone, you have nothing but bills and no change so you cant use them, even if they were working.
News: "911 and emergency lines still operational"
Me: "How the hell are you going to call emergency lines when you cant even use a fucking cell phone"
Oh well...

Pathetic! All i have to say is New York is now up there with France as far as i'm concerned. No electricity, heat... bunch of wusses if you ask me. wish they could throw in an Earthquake for good measure. Sorry if i sound jaded, i'm from California and we get this all the time! I hope this will teach damn New Yorkers that living in a big city like that makes you vulnerable to this stuff. I was watching the "breaking News" crap on CBS and the headlines were "people useing flashlights to walk in street." ? what the . And all this terrorist stuff is getting old, we aren't gaurded from everything and we never will be. It has nothing to do with who's president!
P.S.- Bush didn't "steal" the election you fuck tard! Go look at who actually sued, oops, it was the Dems. Too bad they will lose again next year . but, i digress. -

Cant wait to go to Times Square once again tomorrow. -

shut the fuck up.On another note, sadly, i got kinda happy. I wanted it to be a terrorist attack. I just hate Bush. He needs to be proven wrong. He's gone to far with this. Its actually sad that im thinking that. But what can i say, i hated bush since ever since he cheated in the election.
