General Chat / Arnold's A Running For Gov.

Arnold Schwarzenegger announced just about an hour ago during the taping of a Jay Leno show that he will be running for Govenor. This comes as a TOTAL shock to nearly EVERYONE since, for the past couple of weeks, everyone was saying that he said that he wouldn't run... but he is. My mom and I were listening to KFI AM 640 when it broke out and we both cracked up. And my mom's voting for him, lol. How much ya wanna bet he wins the recall vote now? LOL

About 5 minutes after announcing it, Gary Coleman announced that he too will be running for govenor. And yesterday a 23-year old **** star held a press conference stating that she was also running. When asked about the ozone and the heat, she said that everyone should just be naked. Also, she said that lap dances should be tax-deductible, LOL.

Just become, just become? It's been one ever since the whole recall thing was like, passed or whatever to give way to the 200+ peeps that have taken out papers for it. The whole country's laughing at us... But yeah.

It's been a joke for awhile. I already made a topic about the recall election. I just meant that now it is official.

The only thing is I hope Arnold doesn't side with a certain political party. (if he hasn't already, I haven't read anything.) That would just fuck him over cause he should just keep people he trusts on his side, instead of one of the 25% of the population that is brainwashed by conferences and pounding the other party.

I heard today that he wasn't going to run for Governor as he and his wife agreed it would be too stress full for there children with the paparazzi digging into their lives 24/7.

Obviously our radio stations in the U.K aren't as up to date with the situation.

Either way, vote Arnie!

Actually he did say that, but even still nobody knew exactly what he was going to say when asked on the show, not even his personal advisor! lol

Thank goodness I only live in California 4 months of the year.

At least Arnold would be better than Larry Flynt or the porn star or Gray Davis. Our state has been a joke ever since the power crisis.

One very strong point about Arnold is that he's not going to be in the pockets of any special interest groups. That's going to give him a huge advantage over the other candidates. Of course, even without that, he'd still probably win purely based on name recognition, and people voting for him because they're fans of the Terminator movies. I havn't done my "research" yet, but he seems to know what's good for California, and is not just running to further a career.

I just hope to see at least one political campaign designed to look like an action-movie trailor.

Haha at California. Good for all of them though. One of them might surprise us and do some good.
