    Door 1
    Palace of Minos

First of all: Thank you to everyone who has participated. While we are not yet at 24 entries I am sure we will get there in time. So without further ado, let's see what is behind the first door!

Our Journey, such as the journey of the Nativity, starts in the Mediterranean. But instead of the desert of Israel we look to the island of Crete, where King Minos has his palace. But not only the location is apt but also the game, as we start the NE Advent Calendar 2024 with an LL entry!

    Really cool

Awesome work, love the maze buried beneath the complex, and the shape of the structure.

The temple has a nice footprint given the island shape; really believable.

    Door 2

    The Big Little

We started with LL, so what would be more fitting behind door 2 than NCSO? Furthermore we also stick with the island theme as a coaster finds its way through castles to provide thrill and joy; a true representation of the spirit of christmas. Check out the second entry to this non-contest. For anyone feeling the itch to build, we are now only two entries short of filling every day!

    That's fucking hilarious! Great submission

Great island, really like the tall structures and how tightly the coaster navigates them. Fun choice to throw it on a huge map.

  • SSSammy%s's Photo

lmao i was wondering why it was 5mb

Fascinating entry. I'm curious to know the story behind the larger map... how did you make it? Is this part of a larger project and you yolo'd this micro plot into the map? Regardless, the island is really neat. Dense yet readable. Simple theming, but effective in making me want to explore all angles. Kudos!

Man whoever did The Big Little is a funny fella. Also giving my love for Palace of Minos, some good-ass LL.

We still have a couple of hours until door 3, but in the meantime I got a challenge from the creator of door 2:

Each of the dinosaurs is placed exactly once on the map. If the community manages to find three of them, the creator will release a "making of" video of the entry!

Amazing map! THis must be the first time I see an actual use of the 999x999 map format. What a brilliant piece of RCT, but also very eerie and creepy in my eyes. RCT is full of life and movement. This.....is liminal space at its finest. WHERE IS EVERYONE???? Oh, at the theme park.

    Door 3

Behind the third door awaits not only the first CSO submission of this event but also the first themed to Christmas! Although, one has to admit that it evokes less the spirit of kindly Santa Claus and more that of Robot Santa Claus. Still, a festively decorated, wintery landscape awaits for gifts to be delivered by a giant machine...that sounds like Amazon's plans for the Christmas of 2050.

Love this, great idea for an entry and design of the mecha-sleigh is awesome. Having it mid-dropping the steam train is fun too.

Really neat work. Would be terrifying to see Santa bulldozing through my neighborhood on this merry tank. Very creative object usage as well.
