I'm sitting this out, micros aren't my genre, but I think it's a great idea and I look forward to seeing the entries.

Just for the record I will also hold it here, since it was discussed in the discord.
I will post the parks and overview anonymous. People are still free to reveal if one of their parks were posted and people are also free to speculate on who built what. I will wait a couple of days after the last parks are uploaded before sharing a full list of builders.
While there are 24 slots in the opening post, this is just the minimum number required. If I get more submissions I will simply find a way to distribute them over the 24 days. I think it shouldn't be a problem to post 2 micros on the same day.
And again, we will accept anything. From MM final worthy parks to quaint little nature scenes that wouldn't hold up in a contest to someones first ever attempt at a micro: Everything is welcome. This is an opportunity for the community to come together and make something cool.
I will also say that, again, the 25x25 is not a hard limit. Any size will be welcome, though I encourage everyone to keep it at least within the spirit of a small piece of RCT.
The only set rule I have is that all the parks will be submitted to the database together.

I unfortunately won't have time to participate but just want to say that I love the idea and will be following closely!

I would advise to keep map size limited as experience shows people run out of their initial steam quickly if it becomes too much work, and if there isn't a larger official event backing their motivation.
If you get too many parks you could consider posting more than one on the advent sundays or 6 Dec for German Santa, etc.
If you submit all parks as one then the system will count them as a multi-mapper park. This has sometimes been done in the past for things like this.
Another option would be something akin to Pro Tour prelims - for example https://www.nedesign...hared-comments/ . You can see this topic shares entries for 67 parks. Every park has its own page, but the linked topic is the same.
The first option is one big merry group. But the downside is that people's individual micros cannot be attributed cleanly to their profiles. So say if Leon submits an entry for this and someone wants to see 5 years from now what he did in late 2024, it would show the park as the multi-mapper where it wouldn't be very clear which one is his, until someone reads into the topic.

Yeah but that was at least my intention (unless some contributors really want the other way). This is meant, for me, as a community event where the community counts "more" than the individuals, which is why I would also like one shared topic people can discuss it.
Question, how do you want parks sent? Site or discord? I should be able to do either.
Doesn't really matter to me as long as I get them

Maybe you could convince someone who isn’t on the admin team to help produce aerials so it can be an easy as possible transition from community event to NE profile, since it’s not an official event

Maybe you could recruit someone who isn’t on the admin team to help with aerials as to not burden them with a non official event. At least it would be an easy transition from community event to NE profile that way.
Or even just leave it up to the builders to upload/post a screen. -

Nice idea and initiative V1. I'd be happy to join in.
I'm unsure how many aerials can be attributed to a single park in NE, so would agree that having separate park pages all linked to a single topic for central discussion might be easiest to manage (such as we have for contest rounds with many entries such as Pro Tour Prelims or the micro round of GT2020). But it's up to you. We would have the whole month of December to prepare the full release anyway, and aerials for micros aren't too difficult (well... depends on the micro lol)

I was actually thinking of just using a "logo" as overview screen. But again, if the contributers or the admin team would prefer individual downloads with overviews, I'm okay with that.

We could do it like a Grand Tour round where every park is an individual download with its own overview but it has a forum topic with a mass download link. That way we could also upload and post them one by one for each day of the month. The final post with the mass download link could drop on Christmas day. Keeping them anonymous could be as easy as uploading them to the NE Official account like we do for H2H.

I mean, that's up to the admins, that would switch the entire work to them, if you mean uploading them into the NE database and officially releasing them day by day.

Just to be sure:
Submissions will be accepted via PM on Discord or on here.
If you want you can include a overview screenshot of the angle you like best.

Great idea V1, I'm not sure if I'll have time to put something out there but I can't wait to see what people build.
