Head-2-Head-X / H2HX Finals Predictions

Three years of clamoring became four months of building, which have now boiled down to four days. One week from now, Head-2-Head X will conclude, we will have a winner, and then we'll clamor for Head-2-Head 11 for another three years and forget everything that just happened. Who takes the gold? How do they take it? What will it take?

 

Jazzcats: Steve was so active in the Jazzcats' earlier season we all called him a floater! Where'd he go? Simple; planning out some transcendent macro for the Cats to go haywire on. I'm expecting Steve to take the lead with Tolsimir, Brightside, Bubbsy, and 94 supporting and whoever else can hop on and give it a little push. The lack of a point limit on finals is crucial for anyone who can find any time to contribute. I'm expecting Captain Leon to bring it to a remarkable level of detail but not contribute a lot since he's fresh off semis. Also because I don't want to face Leon. SpaceK may also hit hard with some new objects and even a plugin if they really want to stop the show. Expecting either an authentic and detailed realistic park taking advantage of those extra 1300 tiles or some deep, atmospheric worldbuilding. The thought of a Jazzcats final park is terrifying either way.

 

Soda Jerks: Nobody builds on our finals park. We win.

 

While I can't confirm nor deny whether a third place match is happening, I sure do hope one is!

 

Lonely Hearts Club: It's hard to really call who would go in a third place match, but I'm almost hoping for a RCTClub reunion with Jens, Mama, Rob, and Hex. They could rock any format from crunchy CSO to a hell of a NCSO park. I feel like J K would also want to hop in for a fourth round with his boundless enthusiasm for Head-2-Head. Hard to call what they'd build, but I'm sensing something created with a lot of enjoyment and passion behind it. For a third place match, at least.

 

Dambusters: LLiam/Cocoa/ALLex. Please. LL in the third place match would be so awesome.

 

It's been an honor predicting with you all these last four months. Hell of a contest for sure. May the best team (The Soda Jerks obvs) win!

I had jazzies as preseason favs to win so im hoping jerks here for the underdog story

I'd rather that the Soda Jerks win because they drafted a replacement player who was already signed up, even if they gave me a bit of grief. I didn't pick them last round in the pick 'ems but who knows what they have got cooking? They made a whole map worth of custom objects and palettes last time and that was just for the semis. And the Jazzcats showed incredible skill with sculpturing and custom objects to make a visually amazing work for the semis. Both teams have a lot of talent but with Spacek531 doing some cool potential custom rides I'm betting on the Jazzcats.

 

For the 3rd and 4th round, I am unsure so I'm just going to bet on Lonely Hearts Club and see what happens.

Nobody wins

Jazzcats have become my favourite team with their more recent output, but the Soda Jerks have been more consistent. I'm guessing that the Jazzcats can smell the victory and it drives them finish a third masterpiece, against a typical excellent but somewhat chaotic SJ entry. No clue who will build these, but I can see Leon going once more, and like others have mentioned perhaps some more Steve - I'd like that a lot.

Dambusters for 3rd place.

No prediction from me, but I hope we get all or close to every team member having build something on both maps, as that would be a fitting conclusion to the season, and not 1 (or 2) person(s) solo'ing, although that would be an easy way out.

Typed some serious predictions based on who has built but lost them...

 

In short:

Soda Jerks - Ethan, Scoop and Gustav lead. Probably something asian with an intense palette.

Jazz Cats - Steve, Tols and AJ lead. I think something with a cool day/night or seasons shifting hack or plugin.

Dambusters - I think for the finals they could use all their heavyhitters complementary: Liam, Alex, Andrew and Cocoa. But for the bronze finals I wouldn't be surprised if they'd build a two week park with whoever is most available.

Lonely Hearts Club - Is this the moment for FK/JK? JK has already built 3 parks but I wouldn't be surprised if he cooked up an 85%+ park in the last two weeks, with deano and Sammy.
