Head-2-Head-X / H2HX Round 2 Predictions

Three solid years of hype and development have funneled into the long-awaited first round of H2HX! The Dambusters busted the Jazzcats, the Evergreen Gardeners got rocked like a Hurricane, and we got absolutely BEAT-led like wow that wasn't even close jeez damn. But ho! Round 2 approaches in a week! Will we scale back from the grandiosity of round 1, or is it just a prelude to the most absolutely unimaginable RCT humanity will ever witness?

 

Dambusters vs. Hurricanes: Liam puts the leash on Hoobaroo to prevent him from floating into the stratosphere as they deliver on a highly fantastical concept with Cocoa providing a light share and lots of direction and Ultro rounding out the 10-pointer. Jappy and BSG team up for some unbridled whimsy featuring Bluetiful_Monday's CSO debut. Dambusters edge it out.

 

Lonely Hearts Club vs. Evergreen Gardeners: Jens, Mamarillas, Rob, and Hex get together for a RCTClub jamboree. RWE and barnNID counterattack with a real crunchwrap supreme and some Zarathustra mind-screwing. Lonely Hearts Club barely takes it.

 

Soda Jerks vs. Jazzcats: Leon's down 0-1 and he is mad. The idealist in me wants to think AJ shows up for real with a quirky realism park with Saxman and Brightside. Let's be real though. Leon has historically only gone R1 or R2, and with a losing record he's coiled and ready to strike. He'll hit hard with his trademark turbo-detailed semi-realism with Bubbsy and Jene along with a Brightside layout. Unfortunately something happens that involves jerking soda and shirtless webcams and Leon goes down 0-2. Sorry bud!

Alright team predictions time once again, here we go:

The Dambusters vs. Hurricanes:

Liampie, trav, MorganFan & ultro (8 ) going up against Splitvision, ballpitwarrior, Bluetiful_Monday & Congoy (8 )

 

Soda Jerks vs. Jazzcats:

Scoop, Ziscor, Gustav Goblin & gamma (8 ) going up against WhosLeon, AVC & Bubbsy41 (10)

 

Lonely Hearts Club vs. Evergreen Gardeners:

[REDACTED] going up against hydroportal, barnNID & Zarathustra (9)

- We will see a 88.5% park

- LHC will have a park themed to the Large Hauldron Collider -> itm will take issue with this

- Leon's park will have a music-themed entry, supposedly to every artist but the Beatles because he's already done that

- Cocoa and Liam built a fusion of the cities where they played RCT most the last years, cocoa gives a special shoutout to his desk

- Gustav and Ethan have built a fantasy park with a surprising close resemblance to Indian cultures. They forgot a buffet reference.

- Jappy built a train

- Hydro recreates a real life place in a busy setting. A eurovision nut in his team recommended Malmöfestivalen

Dambusters we see Liam going this round with another clever twist on a geographically accurate reference.

Hurricanes we see Terry + BSG going with a flowy layout with massive landscaping. Hurricanes win.

LHC goes with Nin leading an immersive atmospheric park with Jens providing landscaping.

Gardeners showcase Hydro + support players with a slice of realism but with a twist. LHC takes the win but narrowly.

Soda Jerks drop a Scoop / Gustav / Ethan combo of chaos themed to Hobeon’s first H2HX fever dream, located in Japan. The Jazzcats win by a landslide.

Dambusters go for a fun, irreverent map led by Liam, Cocoa, and MorganFan. 

 

Hurricanes do some weird hacky thing led by Kumba and Splitvision, with support from ballpitwarrior.

 

Dambusters win yet again.

 

 

JK's children build some weird over the top immersive artsy map led by FK and Robdedede with support from camcorder. Deano builds another plugin that renders the park in Unreal Engine with raytracing.

 

German gardeners will have an RWE/Fisch/Six Frags led map with support from Lurker. The theme will be Europe.

 

Gardeners win by DQ.

 

 

Jazzcats play it safe by building something stupidly good and patting themselves on the back, knowing that they will be fueled by scoop tears for the weeks to come. AVC, Jene, and 94 build together.

 

Soda Jerks submit a finished park.

 

Soda Jerks win by 1 point after MaxwellRCT figures out how to not press the "null vote" button.

Dambusters vs Hurricanes

 

We win, I can't say how, but we will. Liam will make his grand entrance this contest with a weird festival themed to a city in Europe. I expect MorganFan and ultro to help out.

Captain against captain here. Leon breaks the game with a meta shifting park that makes you wonder if he's playing an entirely different game. I expect a lot of whimsy, hyper detailed architecture, and a launched coaster. Scoop makes a park that based on an ancient civilization and heavy utilization of Fisch rocks. Somehow we haven't seen Ethan yet.

 

Lonely Hearts Club vs Evergreen Gardeners

 

Nin and Jens vs a Hydro and G Force park. I'm expecting a Godzilla park vs a 1:1 recreation of a defunct amusement park your grandparents went to. 

Dambusters vs. Hurricanes

 

Liam, trav, MorganFan, and ACEFanatic (eight points) go for a semi-realistic amusement park set high in the Rocky Mountains, with great landscping and a "twist" of UFO sightings.

 

Kumba, BSG, and Jappy, with light support from kenos (eight points) build a fantasy Victorian steampunk/railyard park with tons of new CTRs from kenos.

 

Predicted score: Hurricanes 35, Dambusters 25

Soda Jerks vs. Jazzcats

 

AVC takes the lead with help from Bubbsy and Mr. Brightside, along with a 1-5% share from SpaceK (10). It's a super whimsical entry with excellent architecture, and Mr. Brightside nails the layouts. I could see them going for a park set in 1920s Los Angeles, with movie sets and stuff adding to the whimsy.

 

I think it's Ethan time. He receives help from Gustav, Gamma, and Hobeon (eight points). They go for a park set entirely as one giant building with countless cutaway scenes. Maybe a hotel or casino? I could also see the park being set in space. Whatever, it is, it's going to be atypical and interesting.

 

Predicted score: Jazzcats 45, Soda Jerks 15

I think the unorthodox nature of the Jerks' park will turn some people off.

BarNID and RWE build a realistic park set in an ancient civilization, with support from coasterbill and Lurker. By the way, I think Lurker will probably try to build at least 5% or so on each park if he can.
