Wildcard Poll
After 6 rounds, traversing 5 continents and a crossing many cultures, the qualifying stage of the Grand Tour 2023 has come to an end leaving only the Grand Final remaining. Over these past months we've seen 42 maps from 33 players, 10 of whom have made it to the final - hydroportal, FK+Coastermind, Whosleon, Xtreme97, Liampie, Turtle, J K, RWE, Scoop and Lurker. But there's room for two more players: the Wildcard choices. One will be picked by the Admin team and the other will be determined by the above community poll of all non-qualifying players who competed, putting the choice in your hands.
As it's up to the community, you can use whatever criteria you wish when choosing who to vote for - productivity, consistency and quality may all factor into the vote, or you can base your choice on whoever made your favourite park(s). The poll will be open for approximately 3 days after which the two Wildcard choices will be revealed and the Grand Final will commence. Good luck!

There's no one I'd want to give a wildcard to more than Lurker - except it turns out he just qualified in R6! Now I have to reorient myself...
I almost forgot how brutal R1 and R2 were. We've seen lots of quality submissions that didn't win, that were as worthy as the actual winners. Looking at the list, there are two players that stand out to me. Fingers crossed!

Just for the record I voted Alex for overall consistency. He did GT his way and I really admire that!

Wildcard Winners
Thank you to all who voted in the poll! It was a tight race, but the winner of the community poll with 27 votes and earning a Wildcard Spot to the Grand Final is In:Cities! His contributions in the thematic trilogy of Louisiana Action Park with Babar Tapie, Ethiopia Action Park with RWE and Thailand Action Park with Xtreme97 earned him 2 second place positions and proved him a master of strong aesthetics crossed with endless ideas across three distinct cultural styles that have kept his trademark feeling fresh with each new entry.
The second Wildcard spot as chosen by the Admins has been awarded to Ethan, who came in third in the poll behind alex. With Alex declining the spot the choice became a fairly easy one. Ethan's two entries The Holy Texican Empire and Saint-Branler, Swaffelbeke, and Het Schaambos built with Xeccah have both shown fantastic skill and a strong personal style that we've seen develop over the past year. Both of these parks placed in the top 3 of their rounds and prove that Ethan has the strength to go all the way in the Grand Final.
Congratulations! In:Cities and Ethan have both now qualified for the Grand Final as solo players, meaning that they cannot choose a partner from outside the pool of already qualified players who are available. They may pair up with eachother to form a team, or may pair with a player that has qualified solo or is not able to build with their respective partner if they qualified as a duo.
With the Wildcard players now confirmed, the finalists have all been decided. That can only mean it's time to reveal all, as the Grand Final awaits!

Congrats to Josh and Ethan, they deserved their spots and I can't wait to see what they do. Ethan better get parkmaker at least from this one, he's been long overdue. Pretty shocked I got as many votes as I did, although I'm pretty sure I rigged it by being loud and sad.
