Document ConclusionAfter three (and a bit) months since it was announced, Micro Madness 2023 has come to an end. It's been a wild ride, seeing some astonishing creative talent on display and some unbearably difficult matches between superb opponents. A total of 105 competitive maps were submitted, all leading to a Grand Final of just four, and WhosLeon crowned the new Champion, taking the mantle from 2019's winner Cocoa.
The Bonus Round has now also been closed, with wheres_walto narrowly edging out a victory with his Silhouettes map. Find the full results here: Bonus Round Results
With all matches now finished we can also fill out the initial Micro Madness Bracket in full! With WhosLeon taking the top spot, the final bracket now looks like this:
Lastly, we've produced a short survey for the community to fill in regarding how you think the contest went, and what you want to see for the future (both of Micro Madness and the next NE Contest.) Find the link to the survey below:
The Micro Madness 2023 forum will be moved to the Contests forum in a few days, though any further match comments will of course be appreciated. All matches have also now been linked together with a lovely navigation section (courtesy of posix) so that you can find your way to any Micro Madness park from any of the other matches.
With all that being said, we must also thank the community for your enthusiastic participation, both players and spectators, who have made this undoubtedly one of NE's most successful contests. With OpenRCT2 adding ever more powerful tools such as the diagonal turn additions to the RMC tracks and the newly introduced colour options, there's no doubt that the coming months will be an exciting time for the game!
