    Rules & Regulations
    A. Signups & Bracket
    1. You must signup for the contest in order to take part, by replying in the General Topic. Please read and understand all of the rules before signing up. Failure to follow the rules will result in disqualification from the contest.
    2. Signups will be open until the Round 1 deadline (see below). The Bracket will be revealed on January 1st based on who has signed up by then, but any signups after that point will be added to an available group at random.
    B. Building
    1. You may choose to build your micro in either game - RCT2 or RCTLL. There are no restrictions on what scenery you can use (NCSO, expansion packs, custom rides and objects, new ride elements), however please keep in mind that not all voters may be able to view expansion objects, RCTLL textures or new ride elements in their game so use these at your own risk.
    2. The tile limit for each map will be set at the start of each round and will not always be the same 15x15 or 225 tiles that has been utilised in the past. As such, we discourage participants from beginning micros before the rounds have begun. In the interest of time, Round 1 and its rules have already been announced Here and you may begin working on it immediately! Later round announcements will be posted in the General Topic as they begin. All rounds have now been announced and you may find their tile limits by following these links: R2 | R3 | R4.
    3. If the admins find a tile usage surplus, a penalty will be applied to the player's score at the closing of the poll. It follows the formula: Player Score - ( (Total Vote Count) × (Tiles Over/Tiles Allowed) ) .
    4. The tile limit refers to a single continuous area. Building multiple unconnected islands is not permitted. Tiles that are used for the "functionality" of the map (park entrance, paths, hacked ride tracks) do not count toward this limit, however their contents must be hidden or otherwise unrelated to the content of the micro. Flat scenery pieces such as walls or thin deco elements may be built on adjacent tiles without contributing to the overall tile limit.
    5. The "blacktile" of a map does not have to be black - it can be any colour, or even water, so long as the boundary of the micro is clear. Aesthetic elements such as stars or similar visual effects will contribute to the tile limit.
    6. Your micro must be constructed specifically for Micro Madness - you may not use a previously constructed micro nor recycle a partially constructed piece of work, including any buildings, set pieces, ride layouts or other large physical elements. You may use any concepts, ideas, techniques etc. that you had before the contest began.
    7. You may not share your work with anyone else, regardless of whether that person is a participant. This includes screenshots, streams, hosting it on a multiplayer server or any other media. As a result, you cannot get another builder to complete hacks for you on your micro map, though you may ask for a demonstration or example of a specific hack done on a separate map so long as it is later replicated by you. You are permitted to request new scenery or ride objects for your park.
    C. Submitting
    1. Your park must be submitted before the deadline. If you fail to do this your park will not be accepted and a forfeit will be ruled.
    2. You must submit your entry by sending a direct message on NE to the following admins: Xtreme97, Liampie, Posix and CoasterCreator9. Discord PMs will not be considered submissions. Please include the park file, the name of the map, the round you are submitting for and any additional content you wish to package with it (logo, custom music etc.)
    3. There is a maximum file size for custom music (either as .wav or .parkobj files) of 7MB. We must do this because the number of submitted parks is going to be high for a contest like MM, and we don't consider it justifiable to have micros with super heavy music attachments. Keep your music small and effective, just like your micros.
    D. Voting
    1. Voting will take place on a match by match basis and each poll will remain open for approximately 3 days. Each poll will ask you to pick your favourite and second favourite micros from that matchup, and the winners will be decided by the formula: (? favourite) + 0.5 * (? second favourite).
    2. If a park is built in OpenRCT2 and requires a later version to run, please update your game to ensure you are able to view the park. If you are having trouble updating via the Launcher, please download and install OpenRCT2 from here and pick latest develop build: https://openrct2.org/downloads
    3. Any evidence of cheating or vote manipulation (such as vote brigading from friends) will result in a site-wide ban and those votes removed.
