(Archive) Advertising District / Sickly Sewers

Well i haven't posted here a long while, but I've been looking at stuff. I haven't read any of the posts in the thread, but i'm going to guess everyone her likes this alot.

I can see that you have skill at RCT2. I can definitely see that. Personally, i think that you should stop making everything so completely random. It looks like a tornado was buildings this park because it's such a mish mosh of stuff going on here. You do have skill and your buildings were designed excellently, I just don't like the style. I'd recommend that you keep it up since everyone else probably likes it. 7/10 so far.


P.S. Kudos making water that isn't blue look nice.

this place is a dump and it smells spray it with a fresh scent bottle it looks cool i wonder how dirtty the coaster will be.

Looks good. You have that dead/sewage feeling down pack. I also like randomness of the buildings. It's kinda like Picasso made a bunch of buildings that have been ruined by acid rain. Very nice.

Thanks! You described what I was aiming for, and since a couple people have expressed similar thoughts, I feel I should explain. This park isn't supposed to be structured and pretty. It's designed to look like a big mess while still keeping the flow of a standard RCT2 park, hence the random architecture. It's your choice whether you like the theme or not, but that opinion is out of my control.

I'm not trying to be harsh here or anything but from all the screenshots that I've seen there has been nothing ground break or anything that makes it look like a sewage/sewer plant.

Now, this isn't a bad thing or anything that will stop people from liking the park its just something that urks me and my perfectness. Maybe if you could just add something in there that would make it more, um, sewer like that would be great.

As for the rest of the parkmaking tidbits, they're great! Nothing to complain about.

Browns/Blacks...rusted metal...dingy atmosphere....dead plants...pretty sewer like to me... And creativity wise, I don't think i've seen buildings looking like this before...

Hey, I think the random buildings in the park give it a unique feeling while still maintaining a rct2 atmosphere, which I think is kool. I'd like to see some pics of some major rides maybe, all we've seen is part of the log flume. Anyway this park is looking great and I can't wait till you release it.

i think so many ppl try and get parkmakers to aim for their standards of perfection - and this is going to get rid of individual styles like this. the park is great, keep it up

I'd recommend a pipeline themed to being in a sewer. You might want to have a ride themed to going thru water treatment or something. Have fun with it.

I mean like make something in there to match the theme better, right now this could be a menageri (sp?) of themes, industrial, dirty lab, rundown city, just to name a few.

Just add somethign in there that says "this is a sick sewer!" and makes the observers believe that.

I love the park atmosphere. I have always been keen of dark styles. Now, to the matter of the constructive criticism. I really do think the buildings look nice and everything, keep that same basic idea throughout. I really don't have anything bad to say about it, just that its great. There really has been alot of good showings from newer parks, lately.

Looks quite nice so far. Though some of the walls and roofing is a little to random for me I think it is still good. The archy overall is pretty nice.

Hmm, will triple duelers do?

The newest addition, Slime, Sludge, and Sewage, are steel loopers that are very synchronized and with satisfying stats. Here's the pic of the station:

I think a triple dueler needs a much more imposant station...

i agree with ^. but what you've got is very good. i think the middle track needs covering up and the stone entrances need to be hidden better. im looking forward to the triple coasters tho, its a long time since ive seen some decent ones...

triple duelers sounds cool! i like the station it just needs to be a little more big maybe 1 or 2 more buildings on it will do it and that is the best he can do covering his stone entrances. unless he wants somthing else to cover his station like change it to jungle entrance building would look good.(in the color options.)
